I ordered a head CT and x-rays on Damien, then I checked in with Natalie.
"Everything is superficial, he just had an appendectomy and busted the stitches during the fight. We can clean him up and send him on the way. What's up with April is she ok?"
"She's fine that new nurse extern that's following her is hopeless and its driving her crazy." I lied
"Yeah I can tell the girl can't even manually take a Blood pressure."
"God help the lives that will end up in her hands." I said, then my phone rang I looked it was Antonio, I hit ignore
"Why did you do that?"
"Because he's not off the hook, and I told him I'd call him. The flowers were sweet but he still dissed me for two weeks after we slept together. So, if I ignore a few calls so what." I said going to check my CT results
"Alright Damien, CT scan is clear. X-ray shows nothing is broken. So we're going to give you a couple of pain killers. Clean those cuts and have you back by dinner."
"Good because is gumbo night." The CO said and I rolled my eyes
"I'll make sure you don't miss it."
"Hey can I see April?"
"April is working, it's best we don't distract her." I said then left the room
"What's going on?" April asked as I filled out the chart
"Nothing his fine, CT is clear, no broken bones, I'm prescribing a couple of Tylenol 3's for the road. He has a couple of scrapes to clean but I can get someone else to do it."
"I got it."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah everyone is tied up right now, I can do this and they'll be gone."
"Ok." I said handing her chart

I walked into the room
"April." He said but ignored him and turned his head towards me
"Always right to it."
"Leave the nurse alone."
"It's ok we know each other."
"We know each other very well." He winked at me as I started to clean the cut on his head
"Why would you start a fight?"
"That bitch jumped me, what was I supposed to let him make me look like a sucka?"
"No not your precious reputation." I said sarcastically
"How's my boy?" He asked
"He fine, smart, passing everything."
"He's still playing basketball?"
"Baseball."
The door busted open and in walked Danielle, my shadow for the day, she walked right up to the CO and put a gun to his head.
"Hands up." She said and he did and Damien pulled his gun out of the holster. Then she turned the gun on me
"Pull the blinds now."
The door opened and the other prisoner Jamal dragged the knocked-out CO in
"The blinds bitch!" She snapped and I did as she told me
