AFTER A LONG DAY OF NAUSEA AND anxiety, you make your way to the infirmary, skipping dinner. There was no way you would be able to eat anything anyway.

"Hello, darling." Draco sits up in his bed as you take a seat next to him, facing him.

"How are you feeling?" You pour him a cup of pumpkin juice from the table next to his bed and hand it to him.

"Pomfrey says I'm nearly healed. I should be okay to leave tomorrow." You both share a look, knowing that neither of you will be here tomorrow, but you weren't really able to talk freely since Pomfrey was within earshot. He takes a sip of his juice.

"That's great." You smile at him and lean down to give him a kiss on the lips, the taste of pumpkin lingering on his lips. You hover there and open his hand, slipping a piece of parchment in his grasp. He instinctively takes it from you, pushing it under his bedsheets before Pomfrey could see. "Right, I'll leave you to get some rest and I'll see you later, okay?"

"Yes, love. I'll see you soon." You stand up from his bed and give him one last kiss before you go. You decided you were going to get some sleep before tonight, you would need all the rest you could get.

You made your way back to your dorm, passing Granger and Weasley on the way. It was odd seeing them together without Saint Potter. Where was he? You glare at the both of them as you walk past biting back a retort, you simply didn't have the time or energy to waste on them right now. You arrive in your dorm and remove your robes, climbing into your bed and pulling the plush duvet over your head, pushing all thoughts from your mind and drifting off to sleep.

You wake to the sound of Lux and Blaise stumbling into the room.

"Shhh! She's asleep! Don't wake her." Lux whispers to Blaise. You lay awake under the duvet, not wanting to have to have a conversation with them. The parchment you gave to Draco earlier said to meet you in his dorm at 11pm. The other death eaters would be using the vanishing cabinet at Borgin & Burke's at midnight and you wanted to be alone with Draco for a while before you had to be in the room of requirement.

You lay there for quite a long time, waiting until you hear Blaise starting to snore. You quietly sit up in bed, looking over to make sure they were definitely asleep. You get up out of bed and creep over to the wardrobe, grabbing some black boots, leggings, and a black polar neck. You grab your longline blazer from the coat rack and head into the bathroom. You get changed and decide to just leave your hair down, your long curls flowing over your shoulders. You stare at yourself in the mirror for a few moments, attempting to calm your nerves. You open the door to the the bathroom and see Blaise sitting on the edge of your bed.

"Going somewhere?" He asks you with an eyebrow raised.

"Um, I was just going to see Draco in the infirmary."

"Yeah, okay Bec. Whatever. The detective get-up doesn't exactly make you inconspicuous." He points to the clothes you were wearing, letting out a sarcastic laugh. Lux moans in her sleep and rolls over. You both stare at her for a moment in silence, waiting until you hear her snore before talking again. He looks down to his hands and fiddles with the ring on his finger. "Please be careful, both of you." He looks back up to you, his eyes sad. You nod your head, biting your lower lip. You look over to Lux sleeping in the bed, your heart heavy in your chest.

"Look after her, I'll try and contact you both when we get back to the manor, but I'm not sure it will be possible." You nod goodbye to him, and turn to walk to the door. You walk down the stairs towards the common room and make your way to Draco's dorm.

You arrive outside of Draco's dorm and check your watch. 10.55pm. Hoping he would be in there already, you turn the knob and push open the door to see him standing with his back to you, pulling his trousers on. He was shirtless, his thin but muscular back glistening with water droplets, he must have been in the shower.
