Luke's POV:

I was sitting in the garage playing around with some melodies with my guitar. We had just had our first gig with Eve and she was amazing. I hear a knock on the door and I put down my guitar. I walk over to the window of the studio and Eve is standing there with something in her hands. I open up the door just enough so that my head peaks out and see that she is holding a guitar case. I'm assuming that there is a guitar in there. If not, that would be kinda weird. Anyway, she asks,

"Can I come in?" her voice is expressionless.

"Yeah, sure." I reply as I open the door fully. She steps inside and I ask, "What are you doing here this late?"

"I wrote you a song."

"And it couldn't wait until tomorrow?" I ask her.

"No," she replies shortly.

We sit on the couch and she opens up the case and pulls out her guitar. I stare at her the whole time. She sits up and clears her throat. She starts to sing.

You were in college working part time waitin' tables
Left a small town, never looked back
I was a flight risk with a fear of fallin'
Wondering why we bother with love if it never lasts

I smile as she sings, her beautiful voice echoing around the room.

I say "Can you believe it?
As we're lying on the couch?"
The moment I could see it.
Yes, yes, I can see it now.
Do you remember, we were sitting there by the water?

You put your arm around me for the first time.                                                                                                 You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter

She looks up at me and gives me a soft smile. I am in a trance and probably have the goofiest grin on my face, but I don't care. The girl I love wrote a song about me and that fills me with joy.

You are the best thing that's ever been mine.Flash forward and we're taking on the world together,
And there's a drawer of my things at your place
You learn my secrets and you figure out why I'm guarded,
You say we'll never make my parents' mistakes.
But we got bills to pay
We got nothing figured out
When it was hard to take
Yes, yes, this is what I thought about.
Do you remember, we were sitting there, by the water?
You put your arm around me for the first time
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine
Do you remember all the city lights on the water?
You saw me start to believe for the first time
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine
Oh, oh, ohAnd I remember that fight
Two-thirty AM
When everything was slipping right out of our hands
I ran out crying and you followed me out into the street
Braced myself for the "Goodbye"
'Cause that's all I've ever known
Then you took me by surprise
You said, "I'll never leave you alone."
You said, "I remember how we felt sitting by the water
And every time I look at you, it's like the first time
I fell in love with a careless man's careful daughter
She is the best thing that's ever been mine"
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine
Do you believe it?
We're gonna make it now
And I can see it
I can see it now

She stops singing and asks, "What do you think?"

Eve's POV:

"That was amazing," he says and I grin and put my guitar down. He kisses me and I fall asleep listening to his heartbeat.

A/N

Yes, I am obsessed with Glee. And Naya Rivera. May she rest in peace. Anyway, this was the "suprise song" that I was talking about. Hope you liked it.
