I wake up at 6:00 to get ready for work and shake my head of the grogginess of sleep. I work at a magical place called McDonalds. Yay me right? Well, for an 18yr old who left home to go to college in New York, it's hard to make a living where there's so many people crammed into one city. I originally moved here, in this apartment on the 27th floor, with my boyfriend Shane. That is until he cheated on me. I kicked him out and kept the apartment. He still pays half the bill. I don't know why. Maybe because he loves me and wants me back. That's never going to happen though. No, I'm not going to college for the stupid Broadway thing. Actually it's for a science major. Astronomer actually. Hopefully I'll get to work with Jane Foster. I've heard so much about her. Maybe I'll even get to meet Thor! I've always wanted to be an Avenger. Yeah, I know. I'm not supposed to know about them but I have my mischievous ways. Meaning my big brother, Iron Man. Tony Stark. Yeah, I know right?! He got powers by machines. I've got some super powers that are natural. No one talks about me though. My name is Rae Stark. Yeah, I know, a bit fairy tale. Sue me, my parents gave me a fairy tale name. My powers are telekinesis which I can read minds, move things, and send messages to the mind. I can fly, self explanatory. I have super strength which I can lift things 200 times my weight, but I can also control it so I seem like a normal person even though I'm as toned as a personal fitness trainer with no effort. And I have a very special power. Super awkwardness, especially when it comes to hot guys and meeting strangers. Although when I met Shane, he made me a more bold person. Although after he's gone I've been kind of a loner. My only friend is a girl in the college who lives there, 20 miles away. It's not a lot but in this New York traffic it might as well be 1,000,000 miles. Well, time to get ready for sacred McDonalds. When I finally quit that low paying, but sufficient job, I swear I will never set foot in there again. I pull my light brown curls with natural blonde highlights in a bun and put on a gray Mickey T-shirt with dark blue skinny jeans and red converse. Yes, I have to wear the black McDonalds shirt but who's to say I can't have a decent shirt on underneath it so I can get out of the stupid black one the second my shift is over? My brown eyes are staring back at me in my mirror while I brush my teeth with a really minty toothpaste. I walk out and sit on the high table in my kitchen drinking coffee and looking out over New York City from my penthouse view. My kitchen is all black metallic and rich people looking when it really came with the apartment. My whole house is like that. Black furniture, white carpet. Although every bedroom is a different color not that there are many, only about three. My bathroom is neon green! Just the living room and kitchen now that I think about it. It's almost 7:00 and I have to be at work by 8:00. I have to get up so early so I can leave at 7:30. I do this because I live in New York. And in New York, done whack job decided to take a relit overly small city and cram 2.8 billion people in it. And then give them all cars. Ok, maybe it's an exaggeration, but you get my point. I should probably leave. I grab my shoulder bag. Basically it's only big enough to hold my phone, wallet, and necessary things for girls. No make up. I don't like it. I'm fairly happy with my appearance. Square jawed, full lips, tanned skin, a little on the short side (but I like being short), and a skinny body. My keys are also in my bag. Yeah, I got off topic. Sue me. My car is an old, black, Chevy. It's not pretty, but hey, it works. I start to walk to the door when the ground shakes and knocks me down to the floor. I crawl to the big window that covers the whole wall to look outside to make sure the earth hasn't decided to suck New York City inside itself first. What is this seriously though? Earthquake maybe? That's when I see it. The sky breaks. It literally breaks. It opens up into a circle with blue fog stuff around the edges and opens up to space. How the fudge is that even remotely possible?! That's defying all laws of everything scientific! That's when I understand. Millions of alien start flooding through it. That's when I panic a little. If it comes to it I'll be pretty much fine if I get attacked, which I probably will because they have enough for the whole planet coming through there. Then I look down into the street. perfectly calm again. That's when I see them. Standing, watching, right on the street in front of my apartment building. The Avengers! Ah (fangirl squeal)! Maybe they can tell me what's going on. After all, my own brother should be able to tell to me. If no one else will tell me.

A/N: hey guys, sorry for the short chapter. Longer ones in the future, promise. Tell me what u think. Please? No. Ok. Goodbye now. (LOKI FOREVER!!❤️)
