"you must be cold, my dear"
I walked out of the now open doors to the castle, passing Samuel Seabury along the way. He gave me a smile which I returned before scrambling outside.
"Wait! Miss Schuyler!" Samuel called. I turned around to see him holding a lantern with a small flame burning a candle inside. "You'll need some light if you're going outside."
"Thank you, Mr. Seabury. And please, just call me Y/N." I said gratefully, taking the lantern. "I will if you call me Samuel."
I nodded in agreement and continued out the doors. After a few second of walking, I found a spot next to a tree in the courtyard and sat down, hanging the lantern on a thin branch. The snow was slowly falling from the night sky, making the ground wet. The cold wind blew against me, making me shiver and hug myself, but I was too lost in thought to care about being cold. Before I could stop myself, I started singing.
Song: Those Eyes- By......Me! AllieJaiJai
I admit, when I first left home To come to this party I felt as if I'd be alone
My sisters always come first Angelica is oldest Eliza is boldest And Peggy is on top of the world
But then tonight You waltzed into my life Your eyes shined so bright And my heart felt so light
If a smile could make you forget your name Then surely that's what yours has done A crown can make you intimidating And boy, I know you have one
But the part of you That I saw The part of you That left me in awe
Were those eyes Those eyes
You asked me to dance And I said yes It's like I was in some kind of trance
When you grabbed my hand It's like I was lost Lost to a whole different land And couldn't escape at any cost
But then I made a mistake I looked at your face And saw those piercing blue eyes As bright as the blue in the skies
If a smile could make you forget your name Then surely that's what yours has done A crown can make you intimidating And boy, I know you have one
But the part of you That I saw The part of you That left me in awe
