My friend, Jake

I have one true friend
Who is a godsend

He is no bully,
He isn't mean
But he's a little silly
And doesn't want to be seen

Sometimes, Jake gets sad,
Especially when my parents yell.
They tell me I'm going mad
And for a 10 year old talking alone is far from well

I wish they could see
The way I do.
I wish they would believe me
When I say he's my brother, my glue

He loves playing with my lego bricks
But he hates packing them away.
And although he can't do any trick or treats
It's still his favorite holiday

He definitely isn't a mistake
Because he's my friend, Jake!
