Boombox
I put down my boombox
On the edge of the street
Pop in a cassette
And let the beats flow,I remember your face
When you saw me the first time
On the same street,
Same cassettePassers ask themselves;
"What is he doin'?"
Maybe they forgot
The trick from the '80sThen I notice you,
Just as the same song started
On the same street
Through the same boombox,You neared me as I began
My '80s jam
On the street of the 2000sMaybe even you forgot
What I'm trying to do,
So let me show you;All I need is a boombox
A bunch of flowers
A song that melts your heart,
With not too many drums
And I'll show you my plan of steel
That I'm going to get you© Franklin J. Stadler
