Boombox

Boombox

I put down my boombox
On the edge of the street
Pop in a cassette
And let the beats flow,

I remember your face
When you saw me the first time
On the same street,
Same cassette

Passers ask themselves;
"What is he doin'?"
Maybe they forgot
The trick from the '80s

Then I notice you,
Just as the same song started
On the same street
Through the same boombox,

You neared me as I began
My '80s jam
On the street of the 2000s

Maybe even you forgot
What I'm trying to do,
So let me show you;

All I need is a boombox
A bunch of flowers
A song that melts your heart,
With not too many drums
And I'll show you my plan of steel
That I'm going to get you

Wasn't sure about posting this one. I've never really  written love poetry before, so here it is.

Hope you enjoyed it!
