Awarness

It's in their DNA to blame
Yet they have no shame.

How many times are we going to be trampled upon?
Our cheeks are red from the hitting
Yet we still turn the cheek for the blow
Is this right or just a plain rude show?

Up until now, we were good to them
But they don't see it. "Shame!"
They say when we are hit with another accusation
Looks like our lives and rights mean nothing

For years our faces were dunked
In mud, our heads kept under currents
Of the sea which divided the human race.

We see our brethren being killed
Innocent people with bright futures
Stripped bare by inhumane behavior.
Why is this still a problem?

But there will come a day
When we won't turn the other cheek
When we won't suffer another sickening blow
When our heads will stay above the currents.
We'll grab that big stereotyping hand,
And throw it with a blow where it belongs

Soon we'll rise like a dust storm
And sweep across the nations
Of the world.
Neither the currents of our race
Nor the hand will be able to stop us.
We'll cause fear and hiding in history
While we dance to our victory.
