who are we?
who am i?
who is humanity,
that You lowered Yourself with humility?
You stood up from Your throne,
the Almighty God, the Name higher
than any other,
and came to Your creation.
the doomed creation You loved
through its sin and rebellion.
i cower away when i sit, ashamed,
thinking about that day when
Your crazy, doomed, rebellious creation
turned so sour and wicked that they crucified You
i sit and cry over the fact
that You, a loving God, with the purest of all hearts
was killed by His own creation.
who are we?
who am i?
that we were so much worth
that You, our God, had to die for us?
it's only Your Grace that carries us
and Your Love that forgives us.
who is humanity
that its Creator had to die
for its rebellious motives and sinful nature?
who are we to deserve Your everlasting Love?

are
we ...?
