Summer has finally come to an end, which means that we are back to school again. My summer, as of this year, was incredibly different with Brett by my side. Halos hindi na ako maka-uwi sa bahay namin dahil maya't maya kaming may pinupuntahan.

My brother even scolded me for that, until I finally introduced him as my boyfriend. Kabado akong naka-upo rito sa sofa ng sala namin. He excused himself, along with Brett, for a quick talk a while ago. Knowing my brother, he wouldn't agree that quick when it comes to relationships.

"We're good," bulong ni Brett at umupo ng tuwid sa tabi ko.

Taka akong napatingin ako kay kuya Rudy na kasabay niyang bumalik. I could see the grimace on his face when he laid his eyes on us.

I smirked.

Looks like someone got blackmailed.

Tumikhim si kuya at umupo. Nabaling ang tingin niya sa 'kin. "You better behave."

I chuckled and rolled my eyes at him. I stood up to pull Brett out of our house, mahirap na, baka magbago pa ang isip niya, e. Nagpupumiglas pa siya, ngunit hindi siya makawala dahil sa higpit ng pagkakahawak ko sa kamay niya.

Nang lumingon ako mula sa likod, I saw him turn around and say, "t-thank you po!"

I chuckled. Soft boy.

Matapos magpaalam, sumabay siya sa paglalakad ko. I felt him snake his arm around my waist. "How can you be so rude to your brother?" he asked.

Nagkibit-balikat ako. "That's how we naturally treat each other. Walang plastikan." I heard him chuckle. I glanced at him and squinted. "Anong gayuma ang ginamit mo sa kanya para mapapayag siya?"

He winked. "It's a secret."

Napa-singhal ako at tinulak siya palabas nang makarating kami sa gate. He only beamed and put his hands in his pockets.

Matapos ang ilang segundo ng pagtititigan, nagtaka ako nang hindi siya gumalaw sa kanyang kinatatayuan para umalis. He looked down and chuckled after sensing my confusion.

"Ayoko pang umuwi," he cooed.

I blinked rapidly, puzzled about why he doesn't want to. "Bakit? Hindi ka naman pwedeng mag-stay dito."

I saw him bite his lower lip. "I know..."

Seconds of silence enveloped us. I could sense that something was wrong with him, pero parang hindi niya lang ito mailabas. I was about to ask him about it when he looked up to me and smiled. Tss, I know much better than that.

"Halika rito."

Bakas ang kaba sa mukha niya matapos na marinig ang mga 'yon mula sa akin. He cleared his throat before taking a step closer to me.

I held both of his cheeks and made him face me. Bahagya siyang napayuko para magkapantay kami. "Look at me."

He did, pero agad din siyang umiwas.

"Look at me!" I repeated as I tried to turn his head to me. I even slapped one of his cheeks softly to make him do it. That served as a warning that I would slap him right after that.
