chapter 13

Bruce's pov

I was in Paris for 5 days thankfully the deal went well and I was allowed to leave once we were done.  I'm currently in my private jet back to the States although I'm 2 days earlier than expected I would love to surprise both Avery and Rosalia.

Rosalia's pov

"No stay away" I say running around the garden with Avery hot in my heels with mud covered hands

"Ohh come on Rosa it's just a little mud" she says still running after me, suddenly I bumped into a hard wall.

"Since when was a wall placed here" I say rubbing my sore forehead

"So now I'm a wall" he says before laughing richly, oh my I missed his voice but he is back earlier than expected

"Daddy" Avery says running into her father's arms

"Hey baby girl, looks like you are having fun" he says eyeing her mud filled hands

"Yes we are, but Rosa is too scared of a little mud"

"I'm not I just don't wanna get dirty" I say still rubbing my forehead to ease the pain

"Yes you are, don't believe her daddy she has been running away from me just because of a little mud" she sticks out her tongue deciding to be immature I do the same causing Bruce to chuckle

"Go wash your hands dear" placing her down she runs off

"Hey how are you doing"

"Been better but I'm alright"

"I missed you, immediately the deal was concluded I decided to come home just couldn't stay away for that long" he says walking closer to me

"R..... really" I stutter shocked at his words

"Yes, didn't you miss me too" he says stroking my cheeks, a warm feeling starts to fill me up making me blush

"I....I did but I also didn't want to disturb you" I say while fiddling with my fingers, he gently lifts my face to face him looking into his eyes i can see so many emotions present, suddenly he tilts his head closing the gap between us.

We were literally breathing the same air, if I just tilted my head we would kiss but I decided against it, as he was about to close the gap I turn my face and his lips connect with my cheeks causing him to groan and I laugh a bit hugging him right

"You don't do such dear, you are such a tease" he mumbles

"What!! I have done nothing" I say releasing myself from the hug

"If you say so but I'll definitely get you back" he says but I was already walking towards Avery.

"Ohh by the way the doctor says I can't be discharged on Saturday"

"Well it's a good thing I came back earlier or I would have missed it" he says standing behind me with his chin resting in my shoulder

"Daddy, I was thinking since I don't go to creche anymore can Rosa be teaching me at home before I enter big school" Avery says looking between both of us

"W...wait you can always go to a  different creche that way you get to learn more"

"I know but I would like you to teach me I'm comfortable with you"

"I know dear it's hard but you have to interact with kids your age so it's much easier when you get to big school and m"

" No I don't want daddy tell her I don't want" Avery walks over to her dad who picks her up

"Baby girl you know Rosalia is right" he says looking at his daughter who was about to cry

"I just don't want her to leave me" she breaks down causing my heart to ache, I signal to Bruce for us to take a sit

"Who said I would leave you, I can't ever leave you even if I wanted to so don't cry Avery" I say rubbing her back but still she doesn't respond

"Ohk how about you go to creche, then I can help you with with all your homework at home and if your dad allows me I'll be picking you up from school so we can have time for ourselves"

"Really you'll do that" she says while I wipe stray tears on her face

"Yes dear but your dad has to agree" I look at Bruce who was watching me with a smile in his face

"I don't have a problem, won't mind having you are more often" he says causing me to blush

"Yaaaay, thanks daddy thanks Rosa" she says hooking her tiny arms on both our necks in a hug, I frozen when I felt an arm wrap around my waist.

Bruce's pov

Avery runs off to play with the flowers after she got the way regarding wanting Rosalia to stay with her.

"I can see how she is your daughter, both of you are manipulative" Rosa says watching the girl play as if she wasn't just crying seconds

"Haha, what can I say like father like daughter" I say smirk but I am rewarded with an eye roll

"So do you have a school in mind for her"

"I was thinking we could do that together, since you know her more emotionally your insight would be very much appreciated" I say rubbing my neck

"As if you have to ask we can sort this out once I'm discharged do she can start school before summer break"

"I really appreciate, thanks"

"My pleasure"

"Is your dad aware of your discharge"

"Yes he and May were there when the doctor told me, I'm just so happy I feel like I have been here for years" she says a frown falling in her face

"It's only been 5 and half months, consider yourself lucky some people did make it or get better"

"I know, I'm grateful just wish my mom was here though" she says now looking sad

"Hey you fought and got cured even though she isn't here I'm sure she is hella proud of you hell even I am and we haven't known each other for a long time" grabbing her hand I draw circles on it to ease her sadness

"Thank you so much for everything Bruce I will always be indept to you, I'm grateful for everything you have done for me I know I can't really pay you back but I want you to know if you ever need anything I'll be here for you"

"As I said it is a pleasure doing this for you I really do mind also Avery has grown comfortable with you I couldn't let her down" she suddenly hugs me, because I'm in shock it takes a second before I respond to the hug, taking in her scent I place my nose in the crock of her neck causing her tense a bit but almost immediately she relaxes.
