Before the show

(This is the dress she will be wearing)

I was in my room getting changed behind the screen I got from when my mother passed away, as Sydney relaxed on my bed.
"I'm really excited about tonight Ash. How are you feeling about the whole thing?"
"Well I'm excited as well because I'm going with friends. But I feel like something is going to go bad tonight."
"Everything will be ok Ash. Think of it like it's the first day of school."
"Where I was avoided cause I was seen as being strange till you and Teddy became my friend?"
"Ok bad example. How about think of when you and Emil became friends. You guys have a pretty great friendship." She told as I finally moved from behind the screen.
"We strangely do."
'It's like no time had past for our friendship.... I wish I told him the first night but instead I was shy.'
"Oh my gosh Ash! You look beautiful."
"Thanks. So do you."
"Who cares about what I look like. But you oh my god. You gotta wear cute things more often."
"Maybe I will."
"I know what will tie the whole look together."
"You do?"
She gave a nod before jumping off my bed and headed to my vanity. She got my jewellery box and opened it to pull out my ring that Emil got me.

(The ring)

"What about my ring?"
"We are going to see if it finally fits."
Before we could we heard Emil shout.
"NO TEDDY!"
"Are you going to...." Sydney began before I cut her off.
"I would rather not question it." I told making her give a small nod.
'I don't think that's what I imagined tonight to be like.'
She took it off the chain and got my left hand before she began to try it on all my fingers. We quickly learnt it only fit on my ring finger.
"It finally fits."
"Oh it looks like your engaged! That's so cute!" She exclaimed as I looked down at my hand to the ring.
'The weird feeling is back, but Emil isn't with me and it only shows when he is.... what does this mean?'
"Hello earth to Ash?!" Sydney said as she waved her hand in front of my face making me look up at her.
"I'm sorry I was lost in thought."
"You ok?"
"I get this weird feeling sometimes. But it only happens when I'm with Emil, but for some reason I got it just now with the ring fitting."
"Ash.... do you know what this means?"
"No."
"You have a crush."
"What no! We are just friends."
"Ok tell me about the weird feeling you get when your with him."
"Well when I'm with him I feel safe, and he can always make me smile even when I'm meant to be upset with him. Sometime I feel like I could float on air." I told with a small smile.
"Ash."
"Yeah?"
"You have a crush. And it's on Emil."
'I have a crush on a prince. Huh. But he only sees me as a friend.'
"But he only sees me as a friend and that's enough for me."
"I'm sure if you asked him out he would say yes."
"It's fine Sydney. I may have feelings for him but I would hate to lose my friendship with him."
"Ok. Shall we head down to the boys?"
"We shall." I told as we linked our arms together.

(Emil p.o.v)
~at the same time as the other conversation~

"Teddy you make no sense."
"Sense? Emil your a prince who has a crush on my sister. How does that not make any sense?!"
"Because of what you are asking me to do."
"She's my sister and I want to protect her."
"And she is my friend. I would never want to hurt her."
"Ok say you two do go out. What happens when you leave?"
"I didn't think that far ahead. I just want her to be happy."
"And not dating her or asking her out is the best way to stop her from being heartbroken."
"What about long distance?"
"Your a prince. You will get all these duty's and will have less time to talk to her."
"Is our relationship that doomed if we became more?"
"Afraid so. Just think, it might be better this way. I mean your a prince who has a crush on a girl who's father used to work for you. Pretty sure you have to be with someone of another royal status." He told as he reached for something and I saw what he was going to hit.
"NO TEDDY!"
He froze and turned to me as he gave a confused look.
"What?"
"You were going to cut yourself." I pointed out making him see what I saw.
"Oh yeah. Thanks chum."
"But in my country, if we have found someone we really love then their status does not really matter."
"That's actually really sweet. Still shouldn't risk it."
'I guess not.'
"Should we wait downstairs for the girls?" I told
"It's nearly time to go so they should be down soon." Teddy told as he got up.
I followed after him and we waited downstairs for the girls. They soon made their way down stairs and once I saw what Ashley was wearing I couldn't help but be jaw dropped.
'Wow. She is so beautiful.'
They made their way over to us and once they were I spoke to them."
"Sydney you look lovely."
"Thanks Emil. What about Ash?"
I turned to look at her and I couldn't help but smile.
"Beautiful..... I mean you look absolutely beautiful like always Ashley."
"Thanks Emil. Same to you.... I mean you look handsome."
'I haven't heard her be flustered in a long time.'
"Aw my baby's are all grown up!" Regina exclaimed as she pulled us al into a hug minus Sydney.
"Regina, we aren't that grown up." Ashley told
"Your grown enough. Please stop so I can keep you kids at this age and height."
"I'm positive that is physically impossible." I told making Ashley giggle.
"Well we should head off so we can get there on time." Sydney told which helped us get out of her grip.
"Oh alright. But first I need pictures of this." She told as she pulled the camera she had out.
We all grouped up together and I wrapped my arm around Ashley as we posed.
'I can tell tonight will be one I'll never forget.'
