Chapter 193 Dawnwing's True Might!

Zap! A dazzling bolt of blue lightning had startled the world, descending from the hazy heavens obscured by the ghostly qi shrouding all within this area. If one looked carefully, they would notice that other than the several onlookers that quietly observed from the top of wrecked houses. A few more individuals had begun a dreadful battle in a broad street that though covered in pits, was more than wide enough to allow for a few dozens of wagons to travel side by side.

Looking at their figures, one would notice that each of them had begun to emit an enormous amount of aura, pushing away most of the ghostly qi that had saturated their surroundings.

The most dazzling aura amongst the many was that of a handsome looking young man who wore dark blue robes and a conical hat, one that covered his shiny blue hair that swayed wildly as each strand sparked with electrical currents. Observing his features, one would notice that his usually spotless forehead carried a unique symbol of a spiraling thunderbolt connected to different circles, almost like the nodes of a circuit. Now, his body was no different from a lightning pole, as he seemed to have gathered all the lightning from the world.

"This boy... to think that his current prestige would be comparable to that of mine. I've heard of it before, but I would have never thought that one with a special body could have such power at such a low level of cultivation." Jin Lin muttered in a slightly grave tone while looking at the powered-up Dai Lin before him.

"I'll have to take him seriously and strike with all my power!" As he thought to here, his eyes crow colder much like that of the shimmering lights in his sickle.

He yelled, "Prepare to die!"

Swoosh! Instantly, his body flickered, leaving behind only a remnant shade as the winds seemed to have grown chaotic due to his rapid speed. In mere moments, he had appeared behind Dai Lin with his sickle held upwards ready to attack.

As he saw the unguarded back of his opponent, a sneer came on Jin Lin's face as he rapidly swung his sickle downwards while thinking, "Let's see you how good you are, Reaper's Touch!"

Swing! The sickle held nothing back, making a razor-sharp cutting sound as it ruthlessly cut through Dai Lin's body from top to bottom as if it were a knife cutting through tofu. However, right before Jin Lin could even celebrate in his moment of victory, there was a change.

The buzzing sounds of electrical energies flowing about sounded, as the figure of the previously halved Dai Lin broke apart into sparks of lightning.

"What?! A thunder clone! How could--?" Jin Lin exclaimed in surprise, but before he could think up a solution, a voice sounded from above.

"Prison of Thunder!" Not long after these words, a series of blue thunderbolts descended from the sky, quickly forming a twenty-meter cage around Jin Lin's figure.

If one looked closely, they would see that Dai Lin was standing at the top of this prison, his body surrounded by an electrical aura as he gazed at his opponent like a rabbit caught in a trap. Yet, though his exterior carried a calm demeanor, his mind currently had a hint of alarm.

"It's a good thing I'd managed to learn that lightning clone technique. Otherwise, I'd have most probably suffered an instant defeat. It seems that speed is his forte." Dai Lin thought to himself, recalling the scene of when he suddenly lost sight of Jin Lin.

As a slight amount of sweat began to drip down his forehead, he looked at the assassin that trapped inside his lightning cage with a hint of caution in his eyes.

Jin Lin, who had only now assessed his circumstances, smirked as he looked at the cage before he glanced at Dai Lin and spoke.

"Not bad kid, you've learned a convenient set of skills, but if you think you can bind me with a small cage of elemental energies. Then you should start preparing for your final moments..." As Jin Lin said, his energies rose once more, causing a red glow to cover his sickle.
