Chapter 45

I decided to leave the theater to go to the bathroom or something. The acting in the movie was horrible and I'm not a huge fan of dead babies.

When I got out of the theatre, I saw Miles sitting on a bench next to a mockingjay poster. He was on his phone.

"Hey" he says "didn't like the dead babies?"

"Nope" i say "why aren't you watching the movie?"

"I've already seen it. Oh and also I was a little uncomfortable from all of the tongue wrestling going on between Courtney and Adam" he answers

"Oh. Are they a thing now?" I ask

"I guess" he chuckles

I sit next to him on the bench.

"So how have you been?" I ask

"Single" he says

"I see. I could hook you up with someone if you like" I offer

"Thanks but no thanks" he smiles "I don't know if you realize this but, I'm still in love with you"

"I know" I say honestly

"I'm really happy for you though. You and Max are a nice couple"

"Thank you" I smile

I rest my head on his shoulder.

"I missed this" I say "I'm happy were friends again"

"Me too"

Being with miles brightened my day. Even if it was already 8:30 pm.

Me and miles go to the arcade to play deal or no deal. He always claims that he's the king of that game but he's really not that good.

"Is this the longest you've ever been single?" I ask

"I think so"

"2 weeks?"

"Yes ma'am"

Miles concentrated hard to see what case he would chose. He ended up choosing case number 9 because he said he hated that number. I don't get why he would chose it if he hated it but I'm not gonna question his strategy.

"Sooo... Uhh... have you..." he says

"Have I what?" I ask

"Have you and Max.."

"Had sex?"

"Yea."

"No we have not.. Im still a virgin.... why?" I ask

"I just think you should wait" he says

"Yea" I say

"What's the farthest you've gone with him?" He asks

"Uhhh.." I don't want to tell him about the party "that my friend, is none of your business" I smirk

"Didn't think you would tell me anyways" he smiles

Miles is doing amazing on deal or no deal so far. I guess he is the master. He ended up winning 500 tickets. When we went to turn our tickets in, he chose a cowboy teddy bear. It had a mustache and everything.

"For you" he says as he hands me the cute teddy bear

"Aww thanks miles" I hug him

The teddy bear is so cute. It has a cowboy hat and a lasso.

Miles and I go to sit down as we wait for the rest of the movie to end while and eat some more gummy worms.

We somehow end up talking about Ebola and then gummy worms and then something about dolphins and their penis sizes.

"So your happy with Max right?" Miles asks

"Of course. And he says he's crazy about me" I smile

"Who wouldn't be. Even tyler probably gets a boner when he sees you" he laughs

(Tyler is a really really gay guy at our school)

"Look who's talking" I smile "all of the girls go crazy when they see you"

"I guess were both the most desirable juniors ever" he says

"I guess we are" I laugh

The movie ends and everyone exits the theatre. I notice hazel crying and approach her to see what's wrong.

"My mom just texted me and.... DARWIN DIED" she says

"The chameleon?" I ask

She nods

"Aw it's ok hazel, Darwin will always live in our hearts" I console her

Courtney tells me that the movie was great and all that stuff. She wasn't even watching the movie. She was too busy sucking Adam's face. But their cute together.

"Is that a hickey Courtney?" I ask pointing to her neck

"What?!" She says

"You have a hickey" I answer

"Shit. do you have foundation I can cover it up with? My parents will drown me in holy water if they see this!"

"Yea I do" I say

I cover the spot on her neck that was red. I did a good job too.

"Thank you so much!" She says

"No problem" I say

"And can you please not tell anyone about me and Adam? I think it was just a temporary thing" she asks

"I won't tell anyone" I say

"Thanks Naomi your great. But to be honest, he's a better kisser than George Clooney!"

"You've never kissed George clooney. Plus he's like 80" I say

"Shut up yes I have" she laughs

We all say our goodbyes. I head to my car to go home with my cowboy teddy bear never leaving my side.
