My body ached in pain and cramps and I struggled to take each step. I sent out a text to my mom that I made it alright and I am still in one piece. I walked out with my luggage crawling behind me. I looked up and looked out for the love of my life. I didn't see anything. My phone rang and speak of the devil it was Xavier.

'Look for a sign. Xoxo.'

A sign? What the hells that supposed to mean. I squinted around trying to make sense of the message by looking for a sign. But then my eyes froze, there was a sign drawn out by roses was the words 'I love you.' Oh that sign. I rushed up to it and there stood Xavier with his over grown hair and lovely crooked smile and crystallized green eyes. I ran up to him and flung myself on him. Our lips met and my eyes closed as a reflex. Our tongues danced and his hands caressed my hips and I tightened my grip on his hair. We pulled back and I breathed against his forehead and he softly pecked my neck.

"Woah slow down lovers." Derek chimed.

My head snapped to him. What was he doing here? Did I leave something behind? Did I leave something behind?

"I go here now." Derek smiled.

"What? Are you kidding me? There's no room for you in our apartment." I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I have my own place, don't worry." He sounded sorrowful.

"Well then we better be off, nice seeing you Derek." Xavier piped in with a charming smile.

Hand in hand we walked off, embraced by the warmth each one of us were giving out. It was a wonderful feeling to be back with him. He placed the suitcases in the trunk and then hurried over to the passenger side and pulled out the door for me. I chuckled and slid in and awaited for him to gracefully enter the car. He got in and started up the engine and we were off, to the new life of ours. The car ride was ridden in silence, both of us had smiles big enough to cover the sun entirely plastered on our faces. Our hands met at the gear shift and it stayed there, enjoying the contact of the others hand. Enjoying the skin creating friction and I tiny spark gently held in place with hands severely wrapped around them. I smiled to myself once more surely aware that once we are at our little space my cheeks would be sore from smiles I've been giving off. I no longer could bare the giddiness in the air, to protect my cheeks I swiftly turned on the radio so that my horrible singing would actually work out the cheeks. By luck, one of my favorite songs were on and the smile just wouldn't go down, it was a disease. Lana Del Ray, national anthem came on and I just had to sing along.

'Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday, Mr. President
Happy Birthday to you
Thanks, Mr. President
For all the things you've done
The battles that you've won
The way you deal with US Steel and our problems by the ton
We thank you so much
Everybody

Money is the anthem
Of success
So before we go out
What's your address?

I'm your National Anthem
God, you're so handsome
Take me to the Hamptons
Bugatti Veyron

He loves to romance them
Reckless abandon
Holdin' me for ransom
Upper echelon

He says to "be cool" but
I don't know how yet
Wind in my hair
Hand on the back of my neck
I said, "Can we party later on?"
He said, "Yes, yes, yes"

Tell me I'm your National Anthem
Ooh, yeah, baby, bow down
Making me so wild now
Tell me I'm your National Anthem
Sugar, sugar, how now
Take your body down town
Red, white, blue is in the sky
Summer's in the air and
Baby, heaven's in your eyes
I'm your National Anthem

Money is the reason
We exist
Everybody knows it, it's a fact
Kiss, kiss

I sing the National Anthem
While I'm standing over your body
Hold you like a python
And you can't keep your hands off me
Or your pants on
See what you've done to me
King of Chevron

He said to "be cool" but
I'm already coolest
I said to "get real",
"Don't you know who you're dealing with?
Um, do you think you'll buy me lots of diamonds?"

Tell me I'm your National Anthem
Ooh, yeah, baby, bow down
Making me so wild now
Tell me I'm your National Anthem
Sugar, sugar, how now
Take your body down town
Red, white, blue is in the sky
Summer's in the air and
Baby, heaven's in your eyes
I'm your National Anthem

It's a love story for the new age
For the six page
We're on a quick sick rampage
Wining and dining
Drinking and driving
Excessive buying
Overdose and dyin'
On our drugs and our love
And our dreams and our rage
Blurring the lines between real and the fake
Dark and lonely
I need somebody to hold me
He will do very well
I can tell, I can tell
Keep me safe in his bell tower, hotel

Money is the anthem of success
So put on mascara, and your party dress

I'm your National Anthem
Boy, put your hands up
Give me a standing ovation
Boy, you have landed
Babe, in the land of
Sweetness and Danger
Queen of Saigon

Tell me I'm your National Anthem
Ooh, yeah, baby, bow down
Making me so wild now
Tell me I'm your National Anthem
Sugar, sugar, how now
Take your body down town
Red, white, blue is in the sky
Summer's in the air and
Baby, heaven's in your eyes
I'm your National Anthem

Money is the anthem
God, you're so handsome
Money is the anthem
Of success

Money is the anthem
God, you're so handsome
Money is the anthem
Of success

Money is the anthem
God, you're so handsome
Money is the anthem
Of success

Money is the anthem
God, you're so handsome
Money is the anthem
Of success

[Music video spoken ending:]
And I remember when I met him.
It was so clear that he was the only one for me.
We both knew right away.
And as the years went on things got more difficult,
We were faced with more challenges.
I begged him to stay,
Tried to remember what we had in the beginning.
He was charismatic, magnetic, electric, and everybody knew him
When he walked in every woman's head turned.
Everyone stood up to talk to him.
He was like this hybrid, this mix of a man who couldn't contain himself.
I always got the sense that he became torn between being a good person and missing out on all of the opportunities that life could offer a man as magnificent as him.
And in that way, I understood him.
And I loved him, I loved him, I loved him, I loved him.
And I still love him, I love him.'

I could feel a pair of eyes on me and I turned to face Xavier and he smiled at me.

"And I love you." He winked.

I grinned like a little school girl, all the way till the car came to an abrupt stop I front of a small comfy polished house. It was just amazing and breathtaking in every aspect. The front lawn was about acre wide. One part of it was furnished with roses, daffodils and lavenders. The other was filled with a gorgeous beige swing set. The whole place was barricaded by a dark blue with gold glitter fence. I took a step in and I was in awe. The house had a very home and vintage look. The sofas were of an elegant faded grey with a lovely sized kitchen on the far end. The dinning table was made of marble and a beautiful average sized chandelier. The stair wall was covered in photos of us since the seventh grade, I truly felt like a married couple. I turned to Xavier confused on how he could afford all of this.

"I might have asked for a bit of a help from my dad."

I flung my hands around him, I couldn't ask for a better life.
