"Okay ready to go?"

"Awesome come on then sweets!"
I'm never going to get use to being called mommy but I can't find any part of me that wants her to stop.

I take her hand and start down the stairs. "It's not to far away think you can walk it all?" She nods a determined look in her eyes. Once we exit the apartment complex. We start walking the way to that cafe. I try to take smaller streets but not shady areas. I don't want heroes to see her but I really don't want villains questioning her either.

I point out different things trying to teach her what she might have missed. She's actually very intelligent I'm sure nezu would be proud but until I'm sure that the threats have been lock away she will not be meeting anyone other than Kacchan. And maybe Shinso also maybe todoroki. And probably yagi- even though I really, really don't want to.

We soon reach out destination, I unlock the back door and usher her inside. Once I turn the lights on and got everything working I crouch down. "Okay Eri you remember what we talked about yesterday? You remember your cover and- and-" Eri places her hand over my mouth. I stay stunned until she smirks. It's scarily like Kacchan's but it's just her trying to smile.

"Mommy please. I'm a big girl. My name is yumeri but my nickname is Eri. I'm 6, my quirk is era, I'm your daughter, my quirk is why I have horns..."  she lists things on her fingers. I'm happily surprised that she remembered everything. To be honest it feels like I've been with her forever. "Oh mommy look DADDY is here!" She squeals pulling her hand back and running over to the front entrance. "WHAT? Eri!" I say chasing after her.

We run around until a loud knock is heard. Without looking I slump my shoulders. "What was that about daddy being here?" I say in defeat. Eri just giggles at my suffering. Damn you Eri, you're so cute yet so cruel.

I walk over to the entrance unlocking and opening it. I keep my head down mumbling a good morning before locking the door after him. "Yay dadadadadadadaddy!" Eri chants marching around Kacchan. He looks confused and looks to me. His eyes hold something unreadable and it's chilling.

"Izuku." He says lowly. It sends a shiver down my spine, but doesn't effect Eri. I'm glad if he agrees to my plan then Eri needs to be comfortable around him. It's why I called him to come over before school. And the fact I didn't give him a choice probably annoy him more than her was.

Besides He rarely calls me Izuku and his tone Scary. I try to look up but can never keep eye contact. "H-hi um Kacchan. I um thanks for coming basically Um I guess... I need your help..."

"Explain over a spicy latte." He demands with less hatred in his tone. I internally sigh. It's a start. I nod frantically. Running and rushing to make his drink. I almost spilt the milk twice. Even though I'm doing what he asked I can still feel the glare on my back. Burning holes in my back almost literally.

"E-Eri would you like some milk?" She paused her story that Kacchan was oh so interested in. "Yes please!" I nod still not looking over.

"Here..." I hand Kacchan his drink. "Here's your milk baby." I give her a small smile. "Thanks mommy!" She replies. "M-mommy?" Comes a spluttered response. "Oh no daddy made a mess." Eri frowns. "How about you go get a towel for Daddy hun." I ask. She again runs off. "Mommy and daddy huh? No way Who's kid is she?"

"Mine Kacchan. And apparently yours too."
"Yeah because that's biologically possible. But the things eyes are like mine the hair like yours."
"She is not a thing Kacchan. That's my daughter, but I'll admit Your taking this better then I thought."
"Hah?! You thought wrong nerd I'm taking this better than anyone!"
Ah there's the Kacchan I know glad he's okay. I giggle to myself. My smile soon fades as I look up to him.

"But seriously katsuki I need your help. She's not actually my kid."
"No shit dek-" my glare cuts him off. "Please just listen. And don't swear in front of Eri!" He stays silent after That. "Look a friend of mine dropped her off after saving her. She was in a horrible situation a-and they could only trust me. So I took here in. But because of her situation I have to protect her too. I'm not strong I won't pretend I am. That's why I need you. So from now on she's our responsibility and our daughter. That is if you'll help me?"

I give him my last puppy dog look before leaving him to think. It's still quiet when Eri returns to clean the mess she happily helps skipping around before returning to sit with us. "Brat- Eri Come here for me." It's the first he's said since I told him. I fear what's about to happen. "Kacchan please-" "you have the beat damn parents in the world got that? Your mom and I will protect you. I don't care who I have to fight. I'll be both of your heroes okay?" I can't explain the relief that washed over me.

"Kat-!" I literally throw myself onto him. Slightly squishing Eri. I'm so happy. I'm finally going to be able to keep her safe. Eri seems happy too in between our hug.

"Okay nerd now I need the basic story." I nod sitting down again. Eri stays on Kacchan's lap happily colouring. "This is Yumeri she's six her birthday is today. Her quirk is called era which is why she has a horn or in this case horns. Her hair is dyed to look like mine but she takes her eyes from you. Her quirk can backtrack anything she wants. It's a tough quirk but we can help her handle it. Other than that I want to keep her distant from heroes. My friend saved her from the yakuza. So that's why she need someone powerful to protect her. I couldn't think of anyone but you." He seems to puff up at the compliment. "Heh you think so highly of me nerd?" He tries to tease. I can only smile brightly a light blush on my cheeks. "Of course! I love you Kacchan. Your the best!" My eyes widen and I cover my mouth.

I just said love.
To my childhood friend that I kinda flirt with and that also sleeps with me sometimes.
And may or may not have kissed before.
But still he's my best friend-
Ah honestly should have seen this coming.

Oh wait but what if he hates me?
What if he won't protect Eri now?

Silly deku letting your feelings go rampage! He probably doesn't mean it. He just pities you. Or he didn't mean it...

"Stupid deku no I don't. I love you too or whatever nerd. Have for a while. Now stop your mumbling."
"Yay!" Eri cheered. Clapping her hands. I can only smile lightly. I'm blushing with a mix of embarrassment and my silly feelings. Yet this sight I'm sure I'll savour forever. Our family. My family.
