"Ate Millie.."

"Doc Andrada, we can take care of it."

"He lost many drops of blood. We need to do surgery.."

I can't recognize every word they are saying to me. All I can see is him, he has a lot of injuries and scratches on his face. Some are swollen and some are still bleeding.

I grabbed his hands and squeeze them. It's still warm and hard because of calluses.

"Love. Can you hear me? I am here. Don't give up okay? I will take care of you."

He flinched and slowly opened his eyes to see me. A small smile registered on his lips. Ngumiti rin ako ng bahagya sa kanya. This man is unbelievable heto siya at nag-aagaw buhay pero nakangiti sa akin.

"I thought... I can't... see you.... anymore." he coughed and some blood follows. Tears slowly falling on his eyes.

"You will be okay. Promise me love that you will fight. I told you I can't lose my husband."

Hindi ko makaya na makita siyang ganito. Nangilid din ang luha sa aking mata. But I can't show it to him. Kailangan makita niya na matatag ako at lumalaban para sa aming dalawa. Nag-iwas ako ng tingin sa kanya at tiningnan si Seth na nakasunod sa akin.

My emotions and thoughts are haywire. I can't lose my state of mind right now. I need to save him. Hindi ako handa na mawala siya sa akin.

"Ako ang mag-oopera sa kanya Doc Ian.." sabi ko habang hawak pa rin ang kamay nito.

"Millie.. you know you can't do that." Seth stopped me.

"We have 2 hours and 30 minutes Seth. Makakapaghintay si Senator."

"The heads and admins will be furious.. Ang media ay nasa labas din. They will probably know about your situation right now.." may inis sa boses nito. I know he is not mad at me. He is mad at the situation too. I hate to admit it but he's right.

Si Maddox ay nasa emergency room na. Hinahanda na ito para sa operasyon nito. We are still in the hallway. Talking about it. Pati ang mga ilang doctor ay naroon din.

"I can finished it within 2 hours. Pagkatapos ay didiretso ako sa surgery ni Senator.."

"Millie.. are you listening to yourself? I know this is hard for you. But you can't let your profession be at stake."

"I don't care!" pagtatas ko ng boses. I can't handle my frustrations and the truth. Natahimik ang mga tao na naroon.

"The last time I chose this career, I lost him, Seth. Alam mo iyan! This time I'm choosing him. Please.. let me choose him.." nanginig ang boses ko at pumatak na ang luha na kanina ko pang pinipigilan.
