'Nuong sinabi ko kila Ria na kami na ni Dior ay halos mawala na 'yung kaluluwa ko sa katawan ko dahil sa sobrang pag-alog nila sakin. Muntik na din matanggal eardrums ko sa lakas ng tili ni Chloe at Shaniah. They are more excited than me. Kesyo daw first boyfriend ko at ang galing ko daw lumandi dahil nakuha ko crush ko. I just flipped my hair and said 'Well.'

Who would've thought right? Akala ko talaga wala na akong pag-asa. I almost gave up because of hear say but, landi is the key everyone. Charot!

The one week happiness is gone and weeks had past. Ngayon ay defense week namin. Bukas pa naman ang defense, pero sabi ni Mr. Cariño gamitin namin 'yung time niya ngayon to review our research.

I am frustrated here. Wala na naman si Ian. Kailangan talaga namin mag-review dahil medyo mahirap ang topic namin, at kailangan handa kami sa tanong ng panels. Hindi naman sa takot ako mag-defense mag-isa bukas, pero gusto ko kasama ko siya bukas. Our classmates and I decided to help each other para sabay-sabay kami maka-graduate this year. At ayokong maiwan si Ian 'dun. Kaya as much as possible ako na halos gumagawa ng research namin, but of course with his help.

"Wala na naman si Ian?" tanong ni Shaniah.

I smiled weakly and nodded. I continue to read some important details of our research on my laptop and jotted down some notes para ma-i-send ko kay Ian mamaya. I removed my reading glass and massaged the inner corner of my eyes. Kanina pa kasi ako nakaharap sa laptop. Tumingin ako kay Dana nang tawagin niya ang pangalan ko at tinuro ang bintana ng hallway. And my face light up when I saw Dior. Agad akong lumabas at yinakap siya.

"You okay? You look tired." he hugged me back while caressing my head.

"Research happened." I sighed.

"Defense niyo bukas diba?"

"Oo. Wala si Ian kaya I'm worried for tommorow. Nag-send naman ako ng copy ng research namin sakanya para makapag-review din siya. I also took down some notes and will send it to him later para mas maintindihan niya."

"You did great babe..." nilayo niya ako sakanya at tumingin sa mga mata ko. "I'm sure makakapag-review ng maayos si Ian. You did everything para may maisagot kayo sa panels bukas." Tumanggo ako ang he kissed my forehead.

"Bawal po jowaan dito." Ria opened the hallway window at lahat ng mga kaklase ko ay nakatingin samin. I stuck out my tongue.

Dior went to our school to get some documents in the registrar and waited for my class to finish so we can head home together.

"'Wag mo masyado isipin defense niyo bukas. Sige ka, baka ma-mental block ka niyan bukas."

"Don't say words like that! Baka magka-totoo!"

He laughed. "No, seriously. Take a rest tonight. I'm sure you reviewed enough. You'll do well tomorrow." he gave me an assuring smile.

Why does he always makes sense? Halos lahat ng sinasabi niya tama. Maybe because he's matured enough than me? He's one year older than me! He's always like an end game for me.

I bid my goodbye when he drop me off in front of our house. Inaya ko siya pumasok sa loob pero may gagawin daw siyang plates kaya hinayaan ko na. The house is silent when I enter. The whole family is busy. Dad has a operation, may court hearing si mommy, at ako naman ay may defense.

Agad akong umakyat sa kwarto ko at nagbihis. Nagpadala nalang akong ng pagkain dahil may iche-check ako sa research. I listened to Dior's advice okay? I just really need to check on some details and send my notes to Ian. I repeatedly ask him to review and take some rest after. I believe in him, I know he will do well also.
