Chapter 18

Thank God it is saturday. I woke up late and my family didn't bother to wake me up early. I know I'm a mess last night. Kinuha ko sa side table 'yung cellphone ko at tinawagan si Ria.

"Hoy buhay ka pa?" bungad niya.

I chucled, my voice is still hoarse. "Oo. Grabe ang lala natin kagabi."

"Anong natin? Ikaw lang 'no."

I rubbed my face using my hand as I get off the bed, "Bakit ka kasi nagdala ng cuervo?"

"Sayang dito sa bahay 'e."

"Sige na. Alam kong may hang over ka din. Kumain ka ha, at uminom ng gamot para mawala sakit ng ulo mo." bilin niya.

"Sure. You too." I ended the call.

I went to the bathroom and take a bath. Amoy alak pa din ako. Nag-toothbrush ako pagkatapos maligo at nagbihis na. Nagsuot ako ng cotton shorts at t-shirt at bumaba na. Sakto naman na kumakain na sila Mommy ng tanghalian.

"Hello drunkard." Dad teased me. I snorted.

I kissed them both on their cheeks and sat on my usual seat. We had a peaceful lunch. But mom gave me an earful of 'sermon that I shouldn't drink too much like last night.

Tinanong din nila kung bakit ako nag-inom kagabi, sinabi ko nalang na celebration dahil tapos na ang midterm exam. I don't want to bring up my issue with Dior to them. It is my problem.

Pagkatapos namin kumain ng tanghalian ay pumunta ako sa pavilion at umupo to unwind.

I'm scrolling to my social media accounts when dad came and handed me a smoothie.

"Thanks dad." I said as I take a sip from my drink. Naglapag din siya sa harapan ko ng gamot at tubig.

He sat in front of me, "So, why did you drink like a mad man last night?"

I chocked. Agad naman niya ako inabutan ng tissue.

"C'mon Sammy, you can tell me what is it." He teased.

Binaba ko 'yung smoothie ko at pinag-krus ang kamay ko, "Did you had a crush on someone?" tanong ko.

He scoffed, "Oo naman! Ano tingin mo sakin?" umirap ako.

"I'm seryoso kasi!"

Tumawa siya, "Oo nga. Why did you ask?"

"Nothing." I looked away

"Hindi ka magtatanong kung wala. C'mon spill it out or tatawagan ko si Ria." Agad ko siyang napigilan sa pagkuha ng phone niya.

"Joke lang. Ito naman hindi mabiro."

I sighed, "I have a crush.." dad gave me that annoying smile. "Stop that." Puna ko.

"Sorry hehe." He said.

"As I was saying, I have a crush. We talked. Not being assuming and stuff, but we did what couples do."

"Suddenly he stopped talking to me. Nalaman ko nalang na nagkakabalikan pala sila ng ex niya."

Tumingin ako kay daddy, "Bakit ganon mga lalaki, paasa na pa-fall pa. Kala nila sila lang pogi sa mundo?" rant ko.

"Oy... hindi lahat. Matino ako sa mommy mo."

Patience Samantha. Bakit ganyan tatay mo?

He cleared his throat, "Gwapo ba?"

"Uhm... oo," mahinang sabi ko
