"That kindness that Hunk mentioned. He's always been that way. So easily forgiving and nurturing. He built this wall around himself and watching it chip away after he spent so long in the middle of an intergalactic space war; not because of the war, but because of the people he met. Like his husband, his friends, his mom... and the millions upon billions of people he's encountered. It opened him up much more than anything on Earth could have. More than I could have. So I lift this glass as not only a congratulations to your union, but as a thank you for being there for my best friend and brother." James ends with a smile, lifting up his glass; everyone following suit as well as Lance and I. "To Lance, Keith and their never-ending journey."

"To Lance and Keith!" Shouts fill the room, conversations returning as James and Hunk walk over to us. I stand up, instantly grabbing onto James; wrapping my arms around his shoulders as I pull him down to my height.

"Thank you... so much. For being here for me... I honestly couldn't have gotten as far as I have without you being there for me." I whisper into his ear as he slowly places his hands on my waist, pulling me closer to him. "You're the best little brother I could have asked for... I wouldn't have asked for anyone better."

"No... thank you for your overwhelming warmth. Your fire and passion is what drives me to better myself and I'm still so sorry for my actions once we attended the Garrison. I don't know what I was thinking." He scoffs at himself as I laugh, pulling away from the hug and wiping his tears with my thumb. A smile graces his lips as he nods his head towards the dance floor.

"Uh, Hunk. Could you announce the next thing. It wouldn't make much sense if I did." James instructs as Hunk takes the microphone from the stand once more as James offers a hand, walking me down to the dance floor which began to slowly clear.

"If this were a truly traditional wedding, the bride would be dancing with a parent or parent figure in his life first. But since we're anything but normal..." Hunk pauses for the awkward laughter before continuing, gesturing towards us on the dance floor. "Our omega bride will be having his first dance with his brother figure in place of his mother."

"Please tell me the song isn't as cheesy as the aisle music." I cross my fingers, lightly bouncing as James rolls his eyes.

"I don't think I did that bad..." James trails off as You Are The Reason by Callum Scott plays gently through the speakers as we stare at each other. "I d-didn't chose that for this?!"

"Technical difficulties. That was intended for the bride and groom. Please ignore." Pidge quickly speaks into the speakers as the music cuts off. Stand By Me by Ben E. King plays instead as she gives a thumbs up.

"Really?" I question as he offers a small smile and his hand. Taking his hand, I place my other on his shoulder as he places his free one on my waist; both of us swaying to the song gently. Not wanting to look at the crowd, I bury my head in his shoulder due to the fact that I was still wearing height deception shoes as a fashion statement more than anything, but only 5 inches this time. "Did you really pick this song out for me and Krolia to dance to?"

"Uh I was going for the adorable factor. Don't judge me. I wasn't aware that I'd be filling in." James whispers as I try to keep my laughter to myself. "Hey... Keith?"

Looking up, I'm met with tears glistening in his brown eyes as he looks my face over; catching me off guard. "Hey... why are you crying? I get that you're happy for me, but this is a bit excessive..."

"I... Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you. But these aren't tears of happiness..." He trails off as I stop swaying, him following suit as I remove my hands from their holds; letting them drop to my sides as I direct my attention to him. "I can't h-help but feel overwhelmed with emotions for you. Everything that's happened..."
