I'm aware that some of these events are in the past but I just wanna talk about them.
*pictures includes *

So as a black kpop fan. I obviously need to speak up about this. It's been happening for tooooooo damn long now.

I don't wanna sound ignorant or anything but to be honest kpop really wouldn't exist without our culture, i mean..

-Rap
-braids, dreadlocks, etc :/
-baggy clothing
-Snapbacks
-Gold chains
-grills
-Breakdancing
and overall influencing.

The basic definition of cultural appropriation is : The adaption of an element or elements of ones culture by members of another culture.
-In other words, wearing a hairstyle, outfit, or traditional head wear that doesn't involve your race.

First up we have Wendy from Red Velvet. I'm pretty sure more of you guys know about this.

Basically in this video she was "trying" to interpret what a ' black girl' sounds like and got  cancelled so damn fast. That's not cute Wendy.

I'm pretty sure she hasn't apologized and most of us black kpop stans are waiting. She thought that was cute and she could just get away with it? Nope. No girl.

She literally GREW up in Canada and should already know that most black girls/ women don't talk like that.

She's older than 20 and should already know that what she did is really offensive.

Anyways, next one.

Mamamoo.

Blackface

Blackface. This happened 3 months into 2017 and received lots of backlash. They apologized. I'm happy they apologized. No argument there. As long as they don't do it again then there ain't no problem.

Next up we have G-dragon from BIGBANG.:

This was a looong time ago but damn G...Why? It was either 2012 or 2013 but this dude fr pulled a blackface..

What was they thinking? Honestly. It's not comedy. It's not funny. It's not something to laugh about. I have no words for this. This shit happened in 2003...ONE YEAR BEFORE I WAS BORN.  Like damn-

No. Words.

People need to realize and take the time to appreciate and learn about others cultures in stead of thinking the world basically revolves around their own culture

People need to realize and take the time to appreciate and learn about others cultures in stead of thinking the world basically revolves around their own culture. Ya know what I mean?
I get that most of these idols are in their 20s and 30s and so on..But they're capable of apologizing and realizing how offensive all of these things are.

And that's on period.

-Please tell me anything that I've missed or got something wrong on.
