Practiced Lies

I fumed as i stabbed at my food the next day. How dare that worthless asshole deny me and my baby

Although there was no baby but he didn't know that yet still he turned me away? Called me a whore and dismissed me like common trash. I thought indignantly

I growled at the memory of his hands around my neck, the skin was still bruised

"Are you well my lady?"  a servant asked watching me roughly stab at my food with a thunderous expression on my perfectly painted face. i  ignored her as my mind raced with thoughts of how to force the general to comply

I worked to hard and long to get to this point. i needed this and  I refused to give up now when i was so close

As a figure walked in, a marvelous idea popped into my head. A mischievous smile graced my lips as he strolled  over to his assigned table 

I knew then exactly how i would get the generals acquiescence

I meticulously studied  my body in the crudely fashioned  mirror. My  breast looked fabulous and my hair and makeup was flawless

I smiled pleased with how i looked. i needed to appeal to Maximus Caesar and if all else failed, As always I would use my feminine wiles to convince him 

I walked out my chambers headed to his own. I knew that he would not yet have departed for the morning meal. I had awoke especially  early to ensure it. Heads of guards on duty and random people boosted my already beaming confidence as i strode with my head held high, my strut befitting a queen

I knocked as soon as i reached his rooms, the guard on duty didn't bother to halt me. I had fucked him senseless just last night to ensure he wouldn't

The door swung open by a male servant who looked weary and very young. I smiled pleasantly at him, batting my lashes as i politely  asked to be seen

He nodded closing the door to speak my request

A second later i was granted entrance just as i had expected

I stood stunned momentarily as i  took in the enormously opulent room,  Amazed at the extravagance of it all. It was clear maximus Caesar had the best room and the very finest of everything;  as he should being who he was

This was what i wanted. What i deserved. 

The thought only strengthened my resolve to reach that  goal. I bowed prettily as i reached the man. Had he not been already wed himself i would have tried my hand at securing him

He stood beside the window staring down at me with slight impatience on his face

"You asked to be granted audience but I am unaware of why?. Speak quickly  woman. i do have other duties to attend" 

"I humbly apologize but  I truly did not know whom else to see with my issue"  i said letting false tears mist my eyes

He eyed me curiously before he crossed over towards me and guided me into a nearby chaise 

"What is it that ails you?" 

I took a deep breath ready to deliver the story of lies i had concocted the night before, hoping it would work. A lot was at stake

"I..The general he was supposed to be my betrothed but since his advancement to senator. He has neglected to honor his commitment to me and now...i am with child, but still he refuses" i said fake sobbing into my hands

Silence spread at my words then a hand tentatively patted my shoulder

"I was unaware that the general had a betrothed". 

"H...He wanted it kept a secret for reasons unknown out me, but i have been his betrothed for years now" I lied smoothly

I watched his eyes narrow in suspicion

"Why would he deny you dear have you dishonored yourself?"

"NEVER! i came to the general pure. In an effort to please him I gave myself to him because i believed he would honor his promise. I have only ever  been with the general he alone took my  purity.  i didn't  think it immoral since he was my betrothed, but now i stand to be destitute and disgraced with a child"   i sniffed dramatically breaking into a fitful of sobs once again

As i fake cried, my heart pounded praying he was gullible  enough to believe my lies. I allowed my cleavage to slightly show, hoping to entice him  sexually, if i could not convince him

"Who are your parents child?, perhaps i can secure another arrangement for you?"  he suggested

Anger heated my blood another arrangement?  Hell no!. This was the only "arrangement" i would accept

"They are dead". I said failing to keep the bite from my tone

he looked at me questiongly

"My mother died birthing me and my father was a noblemen who raised me alone before passing also. His dearest wish was to see me wed to a man befitting my station. He brokered the marriage arrangement  with the general before his passing. I have been here waiting for that agreement to be fulfilled ever since"  i explained sniffling with fresh tears

"Alright my dear. Do not worry yourself. I will talk to the senator"

"He will not listen!"  i wailed pitifully

He pulled me into his arms shushing me while rubbing my back soothingly

"The general has always been rebellious and exceptionally  stubborn but i will see to it that he honors his vows i assure you"  he said

I grinned with satisfaction as i kept my head placed firmly against his comforting shoulder

The general should have listened when I told him this wasn't over. 

I always win..................
