The Protector

chapter #27 :"the other side of the story"

She was sitting on the floor motionless...this was a paradigm shift for her...she never got to see the other side of the picture...she always thought there was no bigger crime than harming a living being but what about harming someone to protect others from getting harmed?This realization was an eye opener for her.

Rita ji searched the whole house and she finally found her in the library...sitting on the library floor...she went there and asked her what happened and she finally told her everything that happened till now...because she couldn't keep it in her anymore...she thought and thought for hours about who was at fault but she couldn't reach to a conclusion so she wanted someone to clarify things for her...

Rita ji asked her to go to sleep for now she will talk to her in the morning...

Sana went to sleep cz she also needed some break from these conflicting thoughs ...in the morning Rita ji asked her to get ready as she wanted to take her somewhere...Sana asked her if it was safe for them to go out...and Rita ji said they would leave with security..so she doesn't need to worry.

She got ready and they left with two guards in their car...after about 30 minutes they reached infront of a building...it was a double storied place with a small garden outside...Rita ji went inside and sana followed.

As she went in she saw a lot of kids and women and old people.

Sana:"Maa bolo naa ye konsi jaga ha"
Rita ji:"I have brought u here to meet someone but first let me tell you what this place is...

So after Neru died It was a very hard time of my life ...as sid had left for his job and I was left alone...I couldn't find purpose in anything...so Sid gave me the idea of opening an asharam...for those in need...and we both decided that we would not specify it for people of particular age or gender ...whom so ever is in need of help the doors of our shelter home will be open for them...we named it after neru...

So we have many old people here whose families threw them out and many children who were thrown near garbage heaps by parents who didn't need them.So many women who were thrown out of their homes by their husbands

Aor tujhe pta ha in me se adhe se ziyada logon ko Sidhart yahan lata ha...wo jis bhi city mein posted hota ha wahan per use koi bhi beghar mile wo use yahan bhej deta ha...we get donations from a lot of friends too...

Sana was so amaized to see the management and the atmosphere it was so peaceful there...
Rita ji:"Yahan per koi bhi akela mehsus nahi karta wo aurten jinhen unke husbands ne banjh keh ker gher se nikal diya unhn wo bache mil jate hn jin ko unki maa ne badnami aor najaez naam ke dhabe se bachne ke liye kure ke dher per marne ke liye chor diya..."
Sana was enjoying there...us jaga per aa ker use ajeeb sa sukun mila...

Rita ji:"Chal tujhe kisi se milwana ha"
She took her to a room and knocked the door a lady opened the door and sana's eyes widened on seeing her...
Sana:"Sargun di ap?"she hugged her tightly...
I am so sorry di for ur loss...
Sargun:"Bus jo naseeb m likha hota ha wo to ho ke hi rehta ha naa"
Sana:"Di aap yahan kab se?"

Sargun:"Aa ja beth ja m tujhe batati hn sab kuch she took her inside..."

Rita ji left those two alone she wanted sana to hear the truth.
Sargun:"Dekh sana mujhe Rita ji ne sab bata diya ha...ye ke tu Sidhart bhaiya ko ghalat samajh rahi ha...to aj m tujhe sab sachai batati hn"
Sana desperately wanted to know the truth...
Sargun:"Sana tujhe pta ha m ne tujhe pehle bhi bataya tha ke Rajeev ji ke siwa is duniya m mera koi nahi tha...lekin m ne tujhe aek baat nahi batai thi wo ye ke m unke sath majburi m reh rahi thi...mera siwaye aek dur paar ke chachere bhai ke ilawa koi nahi ha...to Shadi se shuru ke dino m sab thek tha phir dhere dhere inko Sharab aor juwe ki lat lag gai...fir inhn ne kaam pe jana bhi chor diya to gher m pese ana band ho gaye...fir inhn ne ghalat kaam krna shuru ker diye...ye kuch ghundon ke sath mil ke charas ganja beechne lage...gher m bhi her wqt larai jhagra chalta...is liye m apne bachon ko apne chachre bhai ke gher bhej deti thi...take unko inse dur rakh sakun...tab hi jab Sidhart bhaiya ka tere liye pyar dekha to mera man bhi kiya ke mereko bhi koi aese hi pyar kare.
Us din jab Sidhart bhai aor Rajeev ke beech larai hui tab Rajeev ke pass bandok thi kunke wo humesha apni bandok apne pass hi rakhte the ....aor aek aor baat Sidhart bhai ne unka khoon nahi kiya tha...."

Sana's eyes widened from shock...

Sargun:"Han Sana ye sach ha...wo zinda the ...m tumhn dhundte hue jab gher se nikli tab me ne police ko gher ke baher ate dekha wo seedhe us kamre m gaye jahan Rajeev ko goli lagi thi...
M ne un me se aek ko bolte suna ...abe ye to zinda ha...
Dusre ne kaha...wo sale IPS Sidhart shukla pe murder case banana ha...marne de sale ko...tab mujhe pta chala ke Sidhart bhaiya asal m police wale the....mein us wqt bhag ke unke pass jana chahti thi...per sirf apne bachon ke liye ruk gai ...kunke m janti thi agr inke samne ai to ye mujhe bhi maar den ge...aor Sidhart bhaiya per meri mot ka ilzam bhi daal den ge...m gher ke peeche ke darwaze se bhag gai...Shubh aor Kishor ko apne bhai ke gher se liya aor wahan se bhagne ka soch hi rahi thi ke aek police wala mere chachere bhai ke gher aa gaya...usne bola use Sidhart bhaiya ne bola ha ke hume hifazat se Mumbai pohoncha de...mujhe lga wo hum teeno ko bhi maar de ga per usne bola agr use hume marna hota to ab tak mar deta...uska naam Abhishek tha...majburan mujhe us per vishwas ker ke uske sath ana para...

wo hume yahan le aya...aor tab se hum yahen hn...Rita ji aor Sidhart bhaya ne humara bht khayal rakha ...sana mere bhachon ko school m bhi dala...aor m ne Sidhart bhaya ko bola ke mein court mein Gawahi dngi ke Rajeev aek mujrim tha...Sidhart bhaiya to Farishte se bhi barh ker hn...unhn ne Rajeev ko goli bna waja nahi mari thi...aor unki goli se Rajeev ki mot nahi hui thi...
Per tujhe pta ha Sana...Sidhart bhai ne mujhe rok diya...unhn ne kaha ke Shubh aor kishor apne baap ko kho chuke hn ...m apni waja se apki jan khatre m nahi daal sakta...agr apko kuch ho gaya to wo anath ho jayen ge..."

Aek baat bolun Sana aj ke dor m Sidhart bhai jese log bht kaam hote hn tu bht bhageshali ha jo tujhe un jesa pati mila...
Sana didn't realise when tears started flowing from her eyes...she hugged Sargun and started sobbing....

What had she done ....She hurt him so much...and that man didn't even tell her the truth once...just cz he didn't want to boast about his greatness aor usko laga ke wo is liye chup ha ke uske pass apni Safai m bolne ke liye kuch ha hi nahi....
She stood up and went out Rita ji was sitting in the garden...she smiled upon seeing her..

Rita ji:"Bus ho gai ghalat fehmi dur...tujhe kiya lagta tha...ke agr mera beta mujrim hota to m kabhi use apne gher m ghusne deti..." she said on a lighter note cz she didn't want her to be embarrassed...

Sana hugged her:"Maaa ab mein usko kese manun gi...wo mere se bht ziyada ghusa ho ho gaya ha" tears started to well up in her eyes again...

Rita ji:"Koi naa bacha...ghalti to insano se hi hoti ha...tu usko pyar se manye gi to wo man jaye ga...thora ghusa dikhaye ga...per tu himat mat harna" chal ab ansu saaf ker...aor muskura ke dikha
She wiped her tears.. and smiled..."han m usko mna ln gi akher usko manana itna bhi mushkil nahi hoga " she thought to herself.
