Patton's p.o.v.
Tw: chapter takes place in a church

After a while more of driving, we finally pulled up to the church. Roman slowly lifted up a still sleeping Virgil and climbed out of the limo. I followed after them and I was immediately greeted by my mother. She smiled and pulled me into a hug.

"Oh, Patton, it's so good to see you again!" she exclaimed.

I smiled and hugged her back. "It's good to see you too, mama."

She wrapped her arm around mine and marched with me into the church. Her and Roman were more than happy to see each other and talked the entire way down to my changing room. Well, it's more like a really big closet the church just rearranged so I could get changed. Once we got in, Roman shut the door with his foot and set down Virgil on a very expensive looking couch. His newly dyed ginger hair fell over his eyes, acting like built in curtains.

My mother and Roman immediately got to work. Roman got my suit from a small cubby and took it out of the bag. He threw it at me and told me to get dressed. I laughed and complied, going behind one of those weird changing things you see in those princess movies. I slowly changed into my suit, wanting to take up as much time as possible.

"Hurry up, Patton! I can hardly wait to see how dashing you're going to look!" Roman shouted loudly. Somehow, Virgil was still asleep.

"Alright, alright!" I laughed.

I finished putting on my tux and walked out from behind the curtain. My mother smiled sadly, and Roman folded his arms and tilted his head to the side a bit. I immediately felt self conscious and adjusted the sleeves.

"What, do I look that bad?"

"No, no, of course not, dear Patton!" Roman shouted, running to my side and hugging me. My mama walked over and put her hand in mine.

"You look beautiful, kiddo. It's just not something I thought you'd be wearing to your wedding.."

"I agree! Blue is your color! Not this disgusting yellow tie. It looks like a banana." Roman sighed and turned away in disgust. I couldn't help but laugh. He was right, my tie was the exact color of a banana. I'll bet you can guess who picked it out.

Roman sighed and let go of me before making adjustments to the black suit. I really wanted to be the one to walk down the isle, but Dan said that I didn't deserve it. As usual.

Someone's phone notification went off, and Roman immediately took out his phone. He looked at it for a few seconds before smiling and shutting it back off, putting it back in his pocket. He went over to Virgil and bent down beside him.

"Virgil, my fiery haired prince of darkness.." He said quietly. Virgil grumbled and opened his eyes to meet his. He said something quietly under his breath.

"That the best nickname you can come up with?"

Roman made an offended face before he grabbed Virgil and lifted him above his head like Simba. "VIRGIL MY ONE AND ONLY TRUE LOVE WHOMST I SHALL SOON WED IT IS TIME FOR THE MOMENT WE'VE BEEN PLANNING!"

Virgil was wide awake now. His eyes were wide and he was blushing like crazy. Probably because of the marrying him part. I smiled, but I was a bit confused about the "moment they've been planning."

He set Virgil down and kissed him on the forehead before linking hands. Roman held out his hand to me and turned to my mama.

"Mrs. Tyler, would you allow us to take Patton on a small trip? We won't be long, I promise you."

"Of course, but be back soon!" She said.

Roman grabbed my hand and immediately walked back outside and into the limo. He shut the curtains and pulled me inside after him. Virgil climbed in last and shut the door.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"To a funeral." Virgil said, smirking.

"What? Are you guys going to kill me?"

"Of course not, Patton dear. But something is dying once we get there."

"Okaaaay, this makes me feel safe." I said and laughed nervously.

The limo finally pulled to a stop. Roman and Virgil made no attempt to get out of the car. I looked at them, still confused as to why we were here.

"Uhh--"

"Just get out of the car, pops." Virgil said.

I sighed and got up out of my seat. I opened the door and stepped outside, shutting the door behind me. I looked around at all the beautiful plants in awe. Before I could ask what they brought me here for, Roman shut the door and the limo sped off down the dirt road.

I was in such a state of shock, I didn't even try to run after them. They really just drove away without me. I sighed. It had to have been for some reason. I decided to climb up a large hill to get a better idea of where I was. I walked up, stopping to pick up a few flowers as I went. Once I got to the stop, my heart almost stopped.

Logan turned around to face me. His hair wasn't gelled back, it laid neatly atop his head and looked as fluffy as I remembered. He wore a navy blue tux with the bowtie I had given him a while ago, and a simple pastel blue rose was in his jacket pocket.

"Salutations, Patton." He said, smiling a bit. I could see him shaking as he adjusted his glasses. I felt tears come to my eyes as I looked at him. I couldn't help but smile.

"You look...wow." he said. I looked away, rubbing my arm. I don't really know what to do with myself when I get compliments..

"Heh, uh..I like your hair like that.." I said.

"I know, that is why I made the decision to style it this way." He said. I felt myself blush. He really remembered that.

"So uhh..." I started.

Logan suddenly walked closer to me and took my hand. He looked me in the eyes.

"Patton, you may be willing to sacrifice what we have, but..I am not. I want to be with you, and to me that is the right thing to do. I can't imagine the rest of my life if you aren't there right by my side. Also, I..I know it's rude to say this, but.."

He took a breath before continuing.

"Daniel doesn't deserve you! You are so kind and figuratively bright and I've been told countless stories about him. I see how you falter and your happiness drain when he is mentioned. You even told me yourself that he doesn't make you happy. I'm not quite sure if I make you happy, but even if you won't accept me, I want you to be happy."

He moved closer so that our faces were only inches apart.

"I..I love you, Patton Tyler. I promise that I will care for you until I die if you chose to be with me. So please...be with me."

I felt tears fall down my face at his words. I closed my eyes and thought about all our times together. When I first met him, when we rode rides together, our first kiss, and now...

"Patton, why are you crying? Have I made you upset?"

He put his hand on my cheek and wiped away my tears. I looked up at him, his grey eyes meeting mine. I had a choice to make. Dan said he'd kill me if I didn't marry him, but I felt safe with Logan. He made me feel important..special..and brave. I knew in that moment that I wasn't going to let anyone control me anymore. This is my life, and...

I want to spend it with Logan.
