dear diary,
so i guess short shorts and some makeup can get you places. but i wasn't going to try it. i have read stories about the girl getting a makeover to get the guy to notice her, it's not her, and it all ends badly.

but seeing these girls such as cloe, sophie, and veronica flirt with matthew, ugh. these girls just have effortless beauty, it's like they just wake up and they're ready to shoot a magazine cover. when i wake up, my hair is all tangled, my lips are chapped, my skin is very pale, and i'm most likely snoring. this isn't fair. and also, they've been giving me dirty looks ever since prom. i was worried, we had only gone on a few 'dates' and then he asked me, though i couldn't say no. oh, and one more thing. my dad now comes home early in the morning, barely getting enough sleep to go back to work. i was tired with his act, avoiding my mom and me, to be honest it was a bit saddening, i know he feels uncomfortable around my mother but i still want to be able to see him. and diary, i'm really scared about my parents relationship. but i guess only time will tell. okay, well, 'till tommorow.
