CHAPTER 8

There will be times that we doubt love, and it is somehow acceptable. Our emotions will not always be stable. As the earth be in light to dark, and then to light again, a cycle. The difference between the Earth and Lea's belief in love is that the earth will have this length of darkness and light. The world will certainly be lit its light but for Lea, she already shut the light for loving again a long time ago, she firmly said to never give love a chance again. No chance to love again, no chance of risking and hurting her heart again. As we always hear and read "Prevention is better than cure".

Aga confessing his intentions to Lea made her thoughts awake all night, she never saw and imagined it coming. Yes, she wants Aga to be happy because she knows how deserving that man is to be happy and in love again. On the other hand, hindi niya lubos akalain na siya ay ang taong gu-gustuhin ni Aga.

AGA POV

His heart beat so fast the day he confessed that he likes Lea, looking at her made him afraid that she might reject him or say anything that will hurt him like hell.

Breathing harshly comes out of his lungs while looking at the ceiling as he wakes up remembering the confession he made that night. He decided to change his perspective in life, not wanting his life to just revolve around work and managing the restaurant. Meeting Lea and being with her almost every day gave him some sort of comfort in times of distress, she is someone he can laugh with, and he is now looking forward to cuddling her when the night is cold or when they just want to. It may be too early to think about that, but just being with her is something he will look forward to every time he wakes up. Na iba na ang sagot niya sa tanong sa isang commercial sa TV na 'PARA KANINO KA BUMABANGON?' Kung noon ay para sa trabaho, ngayon bumabangon at babangon siya sa araw-araw para kay Lea. Love will indeed change you and the way you see life, you will appreciate and be grateful for every single thing even more and more. Kung kayang baguhin ng love ang isang tao, paniguradong kaya rin baguhin nito ang mundo kung hahayaan lang nating mangibabaw ang pag-mamahal kesa sa ano mang galit at pait na dulot nito.

Maybe there is still fear in him, but not to fear the future. Future doesn't scare him, it is repeating the same mistakes, going through the same pain and agony.

Scars of the past make us anxious, but he wants to let the scar of the past become a strength to change the future.

Maybe the pain left a hole in our heart or even in our life, but are we just going to let that hole stay in there for our whole life? Hindi ba pwedeng matakpan naman iyon ng pagmamahal? Matatakpan ito at mag iiwan ng bakas, ngunit ang bakas ay hindi dapat bakas ng pait, ngunit bakas ng nakaraan na magpapaalala na minsan naging masaya tayo sa desisyong iyon. Bakas na laging mag papa-alala na muli man tayong madapa at masaktan kaya nating lampasan, gaya ng minsan na nating pinagdaanan.

Aga woke up at 10'oclock in the morning, he didn't have to wake up early for what Lea's command he will be absent today. He decided to sleep in his parents' house last night to spend some time with them today. After taking a bath he walks downstairs and looks for his parents.

His father noticed him immediately.

"Oh, Aga. You're here pala, aren't you going to work?" He confusedly asked.

"No dad, pina-absent ako ni Lea today ee, she insisted that I should take a rest."

"And why she would do that?"

"Nalaman po kasi niya na nag work din ako whole day kahapon sa restaurant, e kung papasok daw po ako ngayon wala na akong trabaho bukas."
