It's You

CHAPTER 7

All tough times serve their respective purpose in our life. Phases in life will either make you or break you, you decide. But why decide which is which? If we can make those two affect our lives accordingly. Every phase can break us, then let those break you. Take all the pieces and make them into something new, the pieces of that phase are still there but they make something beautiful within. We can't control what life will throw us but we sure as hell it can help us make good decisions and how those things can make an impact in our lives. Life is tough, but so we are. Let us move along, be tough and overcome every obstacle.

It's been a week since they got back from Cebu, all of the auditors and staff of the company were so busy including Aga and Lea. They do their work together all day. There are even days they do their work until midnight and end up having some midnight snacks and a cup of tea near the area before heading home.

Lea buried herself in her bed all day, grabbing the opportunity to regain her strength by having a good long sleep given that it is her Sunday off. He woke up at 6'o clock in the evening because of her phone, lazily and without looking who was calling she answer it.

"Hello"

"Good evening Lei, you sounded like....." He noticed it in her voice so he asked "Did I wake you up?"

She looked at her phone before she answered "No naman, napatawag ka? Is there any problem?"

"Ah wala naman, I was just wondering if...." He was still thinking of the right word to ask her.

Impatient for him to continue, she asked "If?"

"Are you busy?"

"Its sunday, hindi ako umuwi ng work this weekend. Nag-uwi ka ba ng trabaho? You can ask question naman, its fine."

"No, I didn't. Uhmmm... I just want to ask you... kasi... sana..." Still thinking about how to continue.

"Aga, what is it ba?"

He noticed that she start being annoyed, so he asked her directly "Can I invite you for dinner?"

There is silence, it took her a few seconds before she got to respond to him.

"D-dinner?"

"Ah yes, pero if busy ka or if you are resting pa, ok lang... maybe next time nalang."

Noticed the sudden change in his voice, sadness is evident in it.

"No, it's okay. I am not busy naman and I haven't eaten yet. Just text me the address, I'll take a bath lang then let's meet there nalang."

"Stay there nalang Lei, I'll pick you up. Thank you, See you!"

Call ended. Yes, he knows where she lives. He sent her home after their work last week because she didn't bring her car that day. Sarah borrowed her car and supposedly pick her up after her errands, but Aga insist that he can send her home.

She's sitting in front of her vanity mirror, she decided to put on light makeup and put her MAC Twig lipstick warm toned, medium dark mauve with a satin finish. She had a hard time choosing what to wear, she wanted to ask Aga if the dinner is going to be formal or casual. Not wanting to assume something, doesn't dare to ask him about it she decided to wear something casual. She's wearing black pants, white short sleeves formal shirt and partnered it with white sneakers, she decided to wear something simple and comfy for it is Sunday. Grab her bag, went downstairs, and as if on cue the doorbell rang.

Walked outside and open the door to be welcome by Aga an inhumanly gorgeous man, holding a bouquet of peonies waiting for her. They just stand there face to face, eyeing each other directly in their eyes. She can't utter any words, doesn't know what to say or she was just attacked by his handsomeness. After a few minutes, the bubble popped. Eventually, though, the awkwardness between them became too much so he decided to break the ice.
