"they were supposed to, im pretty sure they overslept," i answered truthfully.
john scoffed. "well, they're bloody late and they better get here soon. i want to get out of here."
it wasn't long after john had made that remark when ella and george walked through the back door. all of our heads turned to look at them, and i noticed they both looked extremely tired. george didn't look photoshoot ready at all. they both looked like they had just thrown on their clothes in a hurry.
that's probably exactly what happened, considering what they were doing last night.
john picked up on this too, both by the way they looked and their demeanor. he grinned a maniacal smile.
"george, smella. did you have fun last night? oh, yes, and this morning?" john pestered them, the stupid grin never leaving his face.
george rolled his eyes and headed over to a chair in front of a mirror to fix himself up more.
"sod off, john. im not in the mood," ella snapped back. john raised his eyebrows, seeming a bit taken aback.
"feisty today, aren't we?" john started. "well, it seems as though you were in the mood last night with geo. and this morning, evidently. you really- hey, stop it!"
john was interrupted by ella whacking him repeatedly with a pillow she stole from the couch. when she thought he'd gotten him enough, she stopped and walked over to george again.
"what's her problem this morning?" paul asked, leaning into my ear.
i shrugged. "she gets like this when her morning sex gets interrupted by something. this photoshoot must have been her something today."
he thought about it for a moment before nodding and sitting up straight again.
john huffed air out and looked at me. "you need to get your friend's anger issues under control, clarke," he mumbled, lighting a cigarette. i didn't like it when the boys smoked around me, but i didn't want to say anything to put john in an even worse mood.
the boys were soon made up and called to get in front of the cameras. they would do group shots first and then do a few individual shots.
i stood and watched with ella as the boys posed under the lights.
"savannah," ella said, whispering into my ear.
"what?" i whispered back.
"don't forget you have your-" ella started, pausing when brian came close to us. we looked at him briefly before she started again, whispering quieter this time.
"you have your thing to do at your job tonight!"
i had forgotten tonight was gig night.
i swore under my breath and checked the clock, and noticed i had two hours left until i needed to be there. the boys should be done in enough time, but it'd be cutting it close.
i pushed that thought to the back of my mind and watched as the boys did their thing.
paul, along with the rest of them, were natural in front of the cameras, as if thats where they were meant to be. it was mesmerizing to watch.
after they did enough group photos, they all individually did solo photos. first up was john as the rest of the boys found their way towards us, paul finding his spot next to me.
"sav, i've got some place to be after this. so... could you just drop me off at my place once we get finished here?" paul asked, leaning in close to my ear. i shivered at how close he was.
