Just as I was about to take my shoes off of the rooftop, there I see a girl with braided hair here before me. Despite myself, I go and scream, "Hey, don't do it please."

Emile was done. He got up to the rooftop of the school, wearing his goodbye outfit. A tan cardigan, white skirt, white shirt, pink tie, and boots. He slowly took the boots off, but soon he saw a boy. Emile recognized the boy with fascinatingly beautiful hair to be Roman Prince, one of the theater kids at school. Roman was stood at the ledge, peering off. Before he could think about it, Emile shouted to get the boys attention. "Hey!" He yelled. "Don't do it, please!"

Whoa, wait a minute, what did I just say?! I couldn't care less either way..To be honest, I was somewhat pissed! This was an opportunity missed.

Emile turned his head away. 'Great.' He thought to himself. 'I don't care, though. Right?'

The girl with braided hair told me her woes. "You've probably heard it all before. I really thought that he might be the one, but then he told me he was done."

Roman turned and faced Emile. "You've probably heard the same story over and over again. My boyfriend and I were just getting along, I thought he was it, you know? He broke up with me yesterday."

"For God's sakes, please! Are you serious?! I just can't believe that for some stupid reason, you got here before me! Are you upset cause you can't have what you wanted?! You're lucky that you've never gotten robbed of anything!"

Emile felt anger welt inside him, but also jealousy that Roman didn't have to deal with the same as him. "Really?!" He yelled out. "Are you serious?! I just can't believe that for some stupid reason, you got here before me!" Roman looked shocked. "Are you upset cause you can't have what you wanted?! You're lucky that you've never gotten robbed of anything!" Roman looked around and seemed to be considering something.

"I'm feeling better, thank you for listening." The girl with braided hair then disappeared.

"Thank you. I didn't realise how lucky I am." And he walked off.

Alright, today's the day..! Or so I thought. Just as I took both of my shoes off, there was but a girl, short as can be. Despite myself, I go and scream.

He was wearing a similar outfit to the one from the dag before, but his shirt was blue and his cardigan was pink. He had once again almost removed his boots, when he spotted a short boy in the same space as Roman had been in before. "Hey!" He called out, getting the boy's attention. Once the boy turned around, Emile recognized him as Virgil Black. The short, young emo boy who never talked to anyone. They had lots of classes together. "Don't do it, please!"

The petite girl told me her woes. "You've probably heard it all before. Everyone ignores me, everyone steals. I don't fit in with anyone here."

Virgil spoke. "You've probably heard the same story over and over again. Everyone at this school ignores my existence or steals my happiness. I don't fit in."

"For God's sake, please! Are you serious?! I just can't believe that for some stupid reason, you got here before me! Cause even so, you're still loved by everyone at home! There's always dinner waiting at the table, you know!"

"Really?!" He yelled out. "Are you serious?! I just can't believe that for some stupid reason, you got here before me!" Virgil looked shocked. "Even if this school is bad, your family still loves you! You'll always have food to eat!"

"I'm hungry." Said the girl as she shed a tear. The girl short as can be then disappeared.

"I'm hungry." Virgil said, nodding as a tear rolled down his cheek. She walked away, smiling at Emile.

And like that, there was someone every day. I listened to their tale, I made them turn away. And yet, there was no one who would do this for me, no way I could let out all this pain.

Emile kept trying for four days to be met the first day with a boy named Patton, who complained of being stressed with work. The next, Remus, who was convinced he was crazy by an ex. The third, Remy, who said he thought he was too far into his addiction to get help, which wasn't true. The fourth, he met Thomas, who thought he was too all over the place and stupid. Emile helped all three realize that suicide wasn't the and yet nobody could tell him this himself.

For the very first time, there I see someone with the same pains as me. Having done this time and time again, she wore a yellow cardigan.

Emile was wearing a white cardigan and shirt, a pink skirt, and the same boots. He had once again taken them off when he was met with a boy wearing a yellow cardigan. However, this boy was different. Everyday, Janus came in with different scars and bruises, only to be terribly bullied. It was as if nobody did like him. He had a scar trailing from the crook of his mouth to his ear, and bruises surrounding that side of his face.

"I just wanna stop the scars that grow every time that I go home. That's why I came up here instead." That's what the girl in the cardigan said.

"Everytime I go home, I'm beaten. Scars and bruises grow everyday, at my house or at school. I just want to stop it all, so I came up here."

Woah, wait a minute. What did I just say? I couldn't care less either way. But, in the moment, I just screamed something that I did not believe. "Hey, don't do it please."

Emile didn't care, did he? Janus had a good reason, why should he care? He didn't believe the next words that left his mouth. "Hey, don't do it please."

Ah, what to do?! I can't stop this girl, oh this is new! For once I think I've bitten off more than I can chew!

'I can't stop him!' He thought. 'What do I do?!'

But even so, please just go away so I can't see! Your pitiful expression is just too much for me!

"Please, just don't do it. I promise it'll get better. Your pitiful expression will turn happy." Emile said through tears.

"I guess today is just not my day." She looked away from me and then she disappeared.

"Guess today isn't my day." Janus said. He looked away before walking back towards the door of the roof. Emile stared. 'Maybe some people can be saved, even the worst of cases.'

There's no one here today, I guess it's time. It's just me, myself and I. There's no one who can interfere, no one to get in my way here.

Emile stared at the empty space in confusion. 'Nobody to interfere. Nobody can get in my way.'

Taking off my yellow cardigan.

Emile remembered Janus as he let the yellow cardigan he was wearing fall to the ground, leaving him in the cold wearing only the spaghetti-strap white dress and his pink socks.

Watching my braids all come undone.

He ran his fingers through his soft, pretty brown hair as he climbed over to the other side of the ledge, finally taking the place of the others.

This petite girl, short as can be,

Emile noticed how he was just barely tall enough to reach the big fence separating him from freedom. As he stood there, he felt content. His short self was ready.

is gonna jump now,

He let himself fall.

And be free.

He felt a hand latch around his wrist and pull him back up. He saw Janus holding him, crying. Behind him were Roman, Virgil, Patton, Remus, Remy, and Thomas. All were smiling as the tears rolled down their faces. Emile was saved.
