13: Mindoro

As the libero of their team received the float serve from the opponent, the setter did a quick set and the crowd got wild.

"Cabriero for that quick!" The commentator announced.

The whole community cheered for the university as this is the first time after ten years that we are appearing in the Finals.

I cheered for Haze as well. But I love seeing how proud Achilles is watching her from the court, knowing her best friend who was and still with her, go to the finals.

"Hindi mo naman sinabing maganda pala 'tong best friend ni Achilles," Bulong ni Ryker habang nakangisi at kanina siya pa ang unang hihiyaw kapag na kay Haze na 'yung bola!

"Hoy, tigilan mo." Sabi ko at kinurot siya. "Manood ka na lang!"

"Ang cute niya, kaya pala selos ka dyan eh."

"Sipain kita palabas, Ryker, gusto mo?" Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay kaya tumawa nalang siya sa reaksyon ko.

"Cabriero with an ace, championship point for UP-A!"

"Isa na lang! Isa na lang! Isa na lang!" I got goosebumps while all of us are cheering. Ryker kept cheering on our school, even though he is from the opponents' university! Bias! Haha.

"Go, #7!" Sigaw ni Ryker kaya natawa kami ni Achilles. "Kaya mo 'yan, talunin mo school namin! Sawa na kami manalo!" Sigaw niya.

Hindi ko alam kung sinusuportahan ba niya o inaasar lang, eh.

"Hoy, tanga, baka may makakita sayo na nagchecheer sa kalaban!"

"Walang ganun, mars!" Banat niya at nag focus sa pag-cheer kay Haze.

"Go Haze!" Sabay na sigaw namin mula sa court-side. I held Achilles' hand because I know he is really nervous. This was his best friend's dream, eh. Who wouldn't be nervous about it?

"Libre ko inumin mo 'pag nanalo kayo!" Narinig kong sigaw ni Vince at tumawa silang dalawa ni Link.

"May sapatos kang bago kay Link!" Dugtong pa nito. Hindi naman kami naririnig ni Haze dahil focused siya sa game.

"Pota, ang intense, hindi pa lumalapag yung bola! Tangina!" Sabi ni Ryker. "Ampota, parang konti nalang hahalikan na yung sahig!"

"Manahimik ka!"

"Hoy, Lyra," Bumulong si Ryker. "Kapag yung future girlfriend ko nakatapos ng larong 'to, hindi ako mambababae ng isang buwan. Pramis. Aral lang, walang ending."

"Bakit future girlfriend?"

"Mukha ba akong nag-girlfriend? Final answer mo na 'yan? Sige na, ano? Game ka?"

Wow? Hindi siya nagbibiro dahil seryoso boses niya at alam ko kung kailan seryoso ang pinsan ko. Why is he betting something? Gusto niya ba talaga si Haze?

"Libre ko lunch mo ng one week, pag nangyari 'yan." Sabi ko sakanya at ngumiti. Baka nga desidido siya.

Haze's teammate didn't receive the ball smoothly, it was almost going out but Haze quickly dig it and passed it to the spiker.

Confetti's scattered to the whole arena and Achilles hugged his friends. Ryker smirked and slowly it turned into a smile.

I looked at where Haze was. She didn't recover quickly from the dive she did, it was beautiful dig, dive and set. Haze went to his team then she went to us, smiling.

"Hoy, Link at Vince!" Sabi niya. "Ihanda niyo inumin at sapatos ko!" Banta ni Haze sakanila.

"Congrats, Haze." Sabi ko at ngumiti sakanya. She really did deserve that win.
