Aurora:

October's golden light sparkles joy. The warm sun creases my cheeks and breezy wind sends a shiver down my spine.

My hair flies with the cold breeze. It's a flying chaos but it feels rejuvenating.

Fall has always been my favorite season.
The idea of Fall festivals, pumpkin patches, Halloween excite me plus the weather is perfect.

Never been the beach and flip flops kinda gal.

Strolling through Central Park during this time and watching the leaves turn from bright green to rusty orange is magical. I've missed this feeling. I've missed home.

Cue Welcome to New York by Taylor Swift.

My eyes follow the crispy orange leaves that dance with the wind, the leaves come fluttering down.

I feel like I am in an intro of a rom-com movie. Except my life was anything but that. It's more of a tales of a tragic-comedy-horror. I get my own genre.

My nostrils welcome the heavenly smell of my vanilla chai. I take a small sip. And continue to walk with the cup in between my hand.

I tried pumpkin spice latte but it wasn't my cup of tea—latte.

The warm chai perfectly complements the cold breeze.

Meandering down the willow-lined road, I am awed by loads of vibrant colors autumn has to offer.

Fall reminds you that nothing lasts forever no matter how beautiful it may be.

Before I realize it, I find myself by the little playground near the Columbus Circle entrance.

A little girl with pigtails is by the sandbox with a stained white dress. A little boy next her is carefully watching her as if she's the one hour special of penguins waddling on discovery channel. Man I love penguins.

She completely oblivious to him and his attempt to gain her attention. He pushes her down and her face grows red.

She pushes herself up and starts chasing the boy who blew raspberries at her. I couldn't help but smile.

Their smiles held so much innocence. They were so engrossed in the moment. It's like nothing mattered.

No burden. No pressure. Just pure emotions.

It brought back a memory.

Flashback:

After a year worth of torture, today is testing day, and we were all separated in different rooms. I didn't see him at all.

It was weird, we see each other every day. I couldn't help but feel disappointed.

As soon as tests were over, we all gathered at the cafeteria. My friends and I found a circle table near the water fountain.
