Chapter 13

Tay and Newwie ran through the hallway towards the nurse station in a hurry.

"Hi...", Tay stopped in front of the desk, trying to calm down his breath, "I was called here to check on a friend..."

"Name?", the nurse asked coldly as she was busy writing on some charts.

"Mew... Mew Suppasit Joongchevevat...", Tay said fast.

The nurse lifted his head to see the guy who was asking before she finally sighed, "down to the next hallway, last room..."

"Alright, thank you...", Tay replied as he was ready to rush away when suddenly the nurse said again.

"But maybe it's better for you to wait for a while before you can visit the patient..."

"Why? Was it that serious?"

"He's fine. Just a few scratches, nothing to worry about. But now the police were asking for his statement... drunk drive. This kind of thing, maybe you need to have a lawyer or something..."

"Fuck!", Tay muttered softly and nodded politely before he left together with Newwie.

Tay ruffled his own hair in frustration. Drunk drive!? Was Mew trying to kill him slowly? Though Tay has taken strict security for media leak, the news will spread fast... what should he do by then?

Newwie sighed as he patted Tay's shoulder while they were walking down the hallway. "Drunk drive, huh? Be careful. Walls have ears. News will spread fast."

Tay nodded, "I've taken security measurement already. But, I don't know how long will it last to cover it from the media."

"Then, what will you do by then?"

"I don't know! I really couldn't understand what's on his mind lately. He was trying to kill me... with his attitude..."

"Sorry that I couldn't help much. But at least, it's a good thing that there were no casualties... and he's fine. You can talk to him slowly... "

Tay sighed desperately, "Let's just go there to check first. The cops were leaving..."

"I will try to call Gulf to inform him.", Newwie added, "I'll catch you up soon..."

Tay nodded as they parted ways.

Gulf sat anxiously in front of the ICU meanwhile Tul sat beside him, trying to support him mentally by patting his shoulder softly.

"She will be fine, Gulf..."

Gulf wiped his face in frustration, "I couldn't help but to blame myself."

Tul sighed, "No, Gulf... it was an accident. It was no one's fault. Don't push yourself too hard..."

"I don't want to lose her... not like this...", his eyes started to reddened in fear, "She's the only family I have left... I just can't..."

"I know... I know...", Tul patted his shoulder softly, "Don't that it too hard on yourself. Stay calm and we will wait for the news when the doctor comes out, okay?"

Gulf nodded weakly. Tul sighed desperately to see the Gulf in front of him. The only thing he could right now is to encourage him and stay by his side.

"I'll get you some water first okay?", Tul said again. Gulf nodded slightly. "Stay here, I won't be long..."

Tul hurriedly walked away towards the vending machine at the end of the hallway near the entrance. He was passing by the nurse station when he heard they were saying his brother's name. He stood in front of the vending machine while eavesdropping on their topic.
