I was in class practicing but I couldn't help recall the words I said.
Fan Girl: Is soccer really worth that much?
Yes it is. I agree that's not normally a sport that a girl would do but...
Then maybe you should stop "cheering" for me because I plan to stop doing Gymnastics.

I stopped practicing.

When I was walking back I couldn't get my mind off the fact that, that ever since I joined the team I've been changing.
"... Changing back to my old self."
Losing my temper easily, getting embarrassed when getting compliments, asking to be called by my first name.
"Those were all part of the old me."
I look up at the sunset.
"... And I promised myself to erase all of that."
...Because it made me weak.
*Next Day*
Today I had class during soccer practice so I couldn't join the others.
It's not like I really do much for practice anyway.
I landed my leap.
Students: *Clap Clap*
Student: "Kudou-san's on top form today!"
Student: "Yeah, I need to catch up to her level!"
The students' voices sounded so far away.
Yes... this is how it should be.
Then when I started walking back home...
Shōko: "Sumire-chan!"
"Eh? Shōko-san...?"
Shōko pouted.
Shōko: "-san? Just Shōko is fine Sumire-chan!"
"Ah..."
Shōko: "... What's wrong?"

Shōko: "You don't seem like yourself."

Shōko then smiled at me.
Shōko: "But I can tell you're really a nice friendly girl deep down."

Shōko: "The real you wants to truly be friends with everyone on the team and maybe even me. But something is stopping you from doing that."

Shōko smiled gently at me.
Shōko: "I've always wonder what that was. I won't force you but I guess Endou-san wants to know more about you too. He's been noising into Tobitaka's business I think."
