I got a text from Archer while I was on the bus.

Archer: meet me downtown today, over by the music shop

I got off at the same stop I usually did but instead of going to his apartment building, I kept walking until I found the store he was talking about.

"Why'd you want to meet here?" I asked.

He pointed to a craft store right next to it, "I thought maybe we could paint together today."

"I didn't know you painted," I said.

"I haven't done it in years but I thought it might be fun to try it again," he said.

We went into the store and picked out our canvas, paint, and brushes.

"Can we stop by the music shop too?" I asked.

"Sure," he said.

We went inside and I looked through all the records.

"If only I had a record player in my apartment, remind me to buy one when I move," he said.

"You're moving?"

"I've been looking around for a house," he said.

"Oh," I said.

"Nearby here of course," he assured me.

I picked up a Lana del Rey record.

"I've always wanted to see her live," I said.

We walked back to his apartment.

He turned on the tv to a random movie playing and we painted.

When we finished, we showed each other our paintings. I painted a bouquet of flowers while he painted a dark forest.

"I can't wait to hang these up," he said.

I grabbed the remote and changed it to Lifetime movie network. The movie that was on was about a girl who had been kidnapped.

"This seems like an interesting movie," he said.

"I know, I love Lifetime movies," I said.

He pulled out some board games and we played those while we watched. After that, he pulled out an old puzzle and we spent the rest of the night putting it together.

"Let's do more stuff like this next weekend," I said.

"You enjoyed it?" he asked.

"Yeah, it sort of brought me back to my childhood a little," I said.

"Let's meet at the same place again on Saturday around noon," he said.

"I'll see you then," I said and I took the bus back home.

I met up with him at the same place once again. We went into the craft store and bought more canvases.

After that, we started walking back.

"Wait, can we go in there?" I asked, pointing to the anime store.

"Sure," he said.

We went inside and I browsed at all the anime stuff.

"You like this sort of stuff?" he asked.

"Yeah, there's an anime convention every year and I've always wanted to go but was never able to afford a cosplay," I said.

"What's a Cosplay?" he asked.

"It's when you dress up as one of your favorite characters," I said.

"Well what's yours?" he asked.

I showed him a little figuring of Sailor Moon.

"That's cute," he said.

After that, we went back to his apartment and painted once again.

"So I have a surprise for you," he said.

"What for?" I asked.

"Just because," he said.

He pulled out a large bouquet of roses, a Chanel purse, and an escape room box.

"Wow daddy, thank you," I said.

"I always want my little girl to feel special," he said.

"Can we do the escape game now?" I asked.

"Yeah of course," he said.

We spent the rest of the night trying to solve the mystery.

It was my last week of school. I hugged my friends goodbye and we all promised to stay in touch and hang out often.

"Let's celebrate the end of the year this weekend," said Ana.

"I can't, I have plans with my boyfriend," I said.

"Right, you always have plans with him," she said.

I shrugged, "sorry, he just planned this really romantic date for us."

"Well, have fun," said Ana.

"It doesn't mean we can't celebrate together," Colette said to her.

Once again, I met up with him downtown. We walked around and went to a comic book shop.

"So why did I have to wear my bathing suit underneath my clothes?" I asked.

"It's because of what we're doing after this," he said.

After I finished browsing, we walked over to his car. I opened the door and saw a Sephora bag on the passenger seat.

"What's this?" I asked, as I sat down.

"Open it," he said.

It was Daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume.

"I love it daddy!" I said.

"Now give me a kiss, baby girl," he said.

I kissed him and we drove away.

He parked by an entrance to a forest.

"Where are we going, daddy?" I asked.

"It's a surprise, kitten," he said, "now get out of the car."
