• And also, Travis Willingham's voice performance here is probably his best work like ever? Like you can tell there's something terribly wrong with Roy from how cold, even cruel his voice sounds at some parts. What always gets me is when he yells "DAMMIT, I WON'T ASK AGAIN" at Riza, bc you know that in his right mind Roy would NEVER speak to her that way. And then he does the grief and tenderness and regret so well when Roy realizes he's messed up
• Speaking of which, you get THE feels-inducing Royai scene which is probably my favorite moment in the series
• "I CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE YOU"
• And in addition to being emotional and beautiful and shippy it's also such an amazing turning point for Roy because he's been bottling up his anger this entire time and it's come close to driving him insane and now he's realizing that it's okay to lean on others for emotional support (chef kiss)
• Roy asking for Riza's forgiveness is like my favorite thing ever because say it with me, there is NOTHING sexier than a hot guy apologizing
• Envy gets an incredibly fitting and deliciously ironic end
• And then after 15 gut wrenching minutes you get a smash cut to Alex going to town on Sloth
• "MY SHOULDER IS BAAACK"
• And then you get an awesome ending with Izumi being an absolute queen
So yeah this episode is a masterpiece I adore it bye
