"Do you have to go?" Lucas whined as I led him through the door of my bedroom "yes I do" I reply, putting my hair into a ponytail and taking a look around the room "soo what stuff are you gonna take?" He asked, doing the same

"I dunno only important shit" I reply, heading over to my dresser where I began placing clothes into boxes "are you gonna keep this?" He asked, holding up the painting he got me for Christmas. I looked at him stupidly "of course" I reply, taking it from him and putting it in another box

"Can you just put all the clothes in there" I ask him, gesturing between my wardrobe and a box on the floor. He nodded silently, heading over to the wardrobe and folding up the clothes "are you looking forward to Columbia?" I ask him after a few minutes to break the silence

"I guess..It'll be something different" he shrugged, no emotion in his voice. I chose to ignore it, continuing to put makeup and other bits of pieces I want into boxes "are you keeping all this?" He asked, moving over to the desk full of art supplies

"No" I reply blankly, picking up pieces and shoving them into a big black rubbish bag "you're throwing out a lot Maya..maybe we should come back and look at it later.?" He warned concerned at how I didn't want to keep anything

"No I just don't need it, I'm going to be busy and I know I won't use it so let's just get rid of it" I assure him "okay" he smiled sweetly, picking up the rest of the art supplies and putting them into the black rubbish bag

We continued packing for another hour or so, finishing I looked around the empty room, a few boxes stacked by the door and the rest in bins "finally" I relax, lying down on my bed relived. He chuckled, sitting beside me, his eyes trailing around the room

"Hey I've got an idea" He spoke up after awhile, standing up from the bed and holding his hand out. I looked at him confused "what is it?" I asked. "One last date. Let's go" he smiled, taking my hand and pulling me out the door

I laughed as he didn't let go of my hand on the walk down to the subway "what are we doing?" I ask, still confused. "It's a surprise just follow me" he assured, taking a step off of the subway to another platform.

I followed him to a grocery store, going straight to the candy isle "what ya want?" He asked, picking up a few things and chucking them into his basket. My eyes scanned a few of the choices before deciding on skittles and a few other things

"Your disgusting" he screwed his face up as I put them into the basket "what why" I replied. "You like skittles? No one likes skittles" he laughed as we went to the checkout "that's such a lie! Everyone likes them" I defended only to earn another chuckle from him.

Once he paid for the food, he took my hand and leaded the way to Central Park "ohh we're having a picnic" I smiled sweetly. He returned the smile, continuing to walk through the park until he stopped at a big tree that had draped over, its branches touching the ground to the point where it looked like a giant bush

He pulled me toward it "uhh what are we doing?" I asked yet again. He didn't reply, just climbed inside the branches to reveal a small area by the tree trunk. The branches completely surrounding the tree so that we were completely excluded

"I used to come here when I couldn't be bothered to sit in school" he tells me, taking a seat by the trunk "it's pretty private" I reply, my eyes wandering around the space and sitting beside him "so what you want first?" He asked, holding up the bags of candy I picked

I took the skittles from him, screwing my face up to match his once he saw my choice. "You like it?" He asked as he leant his back against the tree trunk. I did the same, nodding my head "I do. Thank you" I reply, kissing him gently.
