Another week had passed since the cabin, Riley and I had sat in the bay window the whole week binge watching red planet diaries, because why the fuck not?

I was now at school, waiting for her to show up. Eventually she did "oosh looking good" I joke pretending I'm a boy, licking my lips, dragging my teeth across them. Riley did a little spin in her pink skirt "I haven't seen you in ages" she pouted

"I saw you yesterday" I furrowed my eyebrows "Yea that's too long" she replied making us both laugh. "What you got now?" Riley asked me "uhh i don't even know" I shrug "well I have chemistry so that means you have music" she informed me. I sighed, ah music.

The bell rang soon enough signalling to go to class, we exchanged a hug and agreed to meet at the bleachers at lunch and with that, I was on my way to music. I got to the class, slouching into the same seat in the 4th row

Lucas came in a few minutes later with Isadora, they came and sat down beside me, bickering away like always "okay class! Are you ready for your duet presentation?" The teacher called as she came into the class. Lucas and I sat up instantly, wide eyed

"Fuck" we said in unison to each other, completely forgetting about the presentation "what do we do?" He whisper shouts "we're allowed to look at lyrics, just follow my lead" I reply, trying to stay calm.

"Okay up first we're going to have Maya and Lucas!" The teacher called from the front. He looked at me nervously before I ushered him out the row, I typed the first song that came into my head which turned out to be a love song from a movie I watched the other night that's been stuck in my head ever since

I give him back the phone, he looks at it confused then looks back to me. I gave him a 'just fucking sing it' look and he backed down quickly, sitting on the stool beside me

I told the teacher the song and the music behind us started playing quietly and I soon sang my part

We finish the song, taking a look around the class "that was perfect! Well done! A+" the teacher said happily, letting us go to our seats "you're actually kinda good" I whisper to him "you picked a love song?" He replied surprised

"It was better then you could've come up with on the spot" I reply back
