Ah Saturday! My favourite day of the week. Since it was now summer I decided to have a pool day with Zoe where we will just chill outside together. I put on my tight black bikini and grabbed a towel before heading into Zoe's room

"Pool day?" I ask, showing her my swimsuit and towel "yay!" She screamed, jumping up from the bed and running to her wardrobe. She pulled on a pink swimsuit then headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth. I waited for her to be done then we went down the stairs when there was a knock on the door

I rolled my eyes, opening the door to see a brown haired boy in front of me "Is Lucas home?" He asked "unfortunately" I reply, stepping aside so he can come in, Lucas jogged down the stairs to meet us by the doorway "Lucas I didn't know you got some hot chicks coming over too" he gawked, Lucas almost gagged at his words

"I didn't. This is Maya, she's staying here for awhile. Maya this is my buddy Dallas. You aren't going near her" Lucas said, introducing us to each other and then telling him to stay away from me. Despite him being an asshole who I hate, his words still made me want to melt like an ice cream

"Oh so do you film your girls too?" I ask this Dallas guy "sorry, what?" He questioned confused "maya" Lucas growled quietly. I chuckled, turning around with Zoe and walking out to the garden "hey, why don't you come with us baby?" Dallas smirked before I got too far away

I turned around again, giving Lucas a look that said 'get him to shut the fuck up before I kill you'. Fortunately, he got the message "dude shut up leave her alone" Lucas told him, taking him up the stairs away from me "maya who was that?" Zoe asked once we were in the garden

"I don't know, who cares" I shrug, laying my towel on the sun bed beside the pool, Zoe doing the same with hers "I'm gonna go swimming!" She shouts, jumping into the water. I laugh at her silliness, pressing play on the music we were listening to.

"Maya! Are you getting in?" She asks breathless, swimming back to the surface "uh yea in a minute I'm just gonna go get a drink..want one?" I ask, standing up from my spot on the sun beds "yes yes yes" she said excitedly

I headed inside and opened the fridge, pulling out two bottles of water. "Hey..I'm sorry for what Dallas said" Lucas said quietly "not the worst thing you've done" I mumbled back, placing the bottles on the island and facing him.

He steps a few steps closer to me until we were practically touching "can we talk later?" He asked quietly "..yea.." I say reply in the same tone, picking the bottles back up and leaving out the door to the back garden "here" I say passing the bottle to Zoe who was passed out on the sun bed beside me

We sat there sun bathing for about an hour, talking about the kids in her class and what she wanted do so when she was older "can we go swimming again?" She pleaded, sitting up from her bed. "Yea yea" I reply, getting up and jumping in the pool with her

We swam around playing tag for a while before we got tired and just hung off the side, using our legs to keep ourselves afloat. "Let's go make lunch" I tell her, getting back out of the pool "can we have cheese toasties?" She asked, following me inside the house

"Can you get me the cheese?" I ask her while grabbing out the bread and putting it into the toastie maker. I cut the cheese into thin slices, layering them over the bread then closing the lid. "I'm sooo hungry" she whined, sitting on the counter "Yea well I'm making it" I pretend to whine back earning a laugh from her

I gave her the toastie once it was cooked "I wanna play with my dollys now" she said, hopping up from the bench and running up to her room "Zoe! Change out of your swimsuit" I call from the bottom of the stairs "yep!" She shouts back

I went back to the pool, moving my towel from the sun bed to the side of the water, lying back down and dangling my feet in the water. I pushed my earphones into my ears, sitting back to enjoy the sun for a few minutes before I felt a presence beside me

I opened my eyes, sitting up and pulling my earphones out of my ears "you've been sitting here for like 2 hours, thought you might be burning" Lucas told me. I checked my phone, 4:10pm "thanks" I mumble, pushing my sunglasses back on my face.

"So..can we talk..?" He asked after a few moments. I sucked in a deep breath, nodding "where's your friend?" I asked "he went home" Lucas informed me. "Maya..for football, coach asked us to film this idiotic goal setting video..I set up the camera and then Zoe came in telling me to come down and then we sat on the couch and..you know we went upstairs. I completely forgot the camera was on and it wasn't until we were done when I realised" he explained

"Why would you keep it..or even tell your friends about it?" I asked "because I knew if I got rid of it I would've felt horrible for still not have telling you, so I was gonna tell you and then get rid of it but you found out before I had the chance" he replied, "oh" I mumbled

He pulled out the SD card from his pocket "here.. I didn't make any copies or anything" he chuckled, getting a light laugh from me. I took the SD card from him, snapping it in half and shoving it into my drink bottle, twisting the lid on and shaking the liquid

"I'm really sorry Maya..I know I'm an idiot and I deserve all the names you want to call me" he spoke up after "let's just move on..I-I don't even want to think about this anymore" I say, turning my head to meet his gaze which was already on me
