Lucas -

"Hey maya I have to go to see mom during last period..do you think you could pick up Zoe from school? I plead while we sit in the car on the way to school after just dropping Zoe off. "Yea that's okay" she replied simply, a small smile on her face

"You're the best" I tell her, placing my hand on her thigh quickly before taking it back off as we pull into the school car park "soo I'll see you in history?" she asked as I parked the car "sure will" I smile, turning the engine off. She gets out the car, walking off with the girls toward to school

"So you gonna do it tonight?" Farkle asked once they were out of earshot "yea..I got her to pick up Zoe so she won't be home when I get there so I have time to prepare" I reply, beginning to walk to the school with them. "You picked a good girl, Lucas" Zach said, watching the fierce blonde standing out from her friends in front of them

"Yea..I guess I did" I smiled to myself "dude you're so whipped!" Zay laughs "let him. He needs to be" Farkle defended, as we all laughed. We waited around until the bell went, piling into history where Mr Matthews sat waiting for us "can I sit there? Or do I have to sit over there?" Maya asked, pointing to the two seats

"You can sit there as long as you make absolutely no interaction with mr friar" Mr Matthews replied, glaring at me again. Dude what does he even have against me ??

Once lunch rolled around, we all sat talking on the bleachers like always. One thing I can say is that there's never a boring moment with this group of people "alright I gotta go see mom" I say, standing up from my seat "later bro" the boys replied, a few "cya's" coming from the girls

"Goodbye" Maya spoke up, tilting her head directly up to the sky to see me standing above her "see you tonight" I tell her, leaning down to kiss her before walking off, pushing zays head into Farkle as I walk past him while he was wiggling his eyebrows at me.

I got to my car and drove to the mall where I picked up a few supplies I needed then headed home, I wasn't really going to see mom, I just needed an excuse to get maya out of the house.

I checked the time when I got there 3:10pm. Deciding maya will be home soon with Zoe, I went straight through to the pool in the garden where I pulled open the boxes of roses I had, sprinkling them all over the pool until the whole top layer was covered in multi coloured rose petals

I lit a few candles, placing them around the edge of the pool before heading inside and waiting for them to get home. A few minutes later, Zoe and maya came through the door "go change" Maya ordered Zoe, pointing to the stairs. I watched as Zoe made her way up the stairs before coming round the corner, picking maya up and taking her by surprise

She let out a small shout of surprise before realising it was me who picked her up, I continued running with her, straight through the kitchen and then out to the back yard "Lucas! What are you doing!" She screamed, turning to look at the pool I was running towards

Without replying I jumped into the pool with her, destroying the rose petal covered water. As we submerged in the water, I let go of her, swimming to the surface and waiting for her to appear too.

She came to the top, taking a deep breath of air "Lucas what is goi-" she started before I cut her off, kissing her passionately and holding her face in my hands. I pushed her to the edge of the pool as I kissed her, her legs wrapping around my waist

I pulled away from her lips as she looked around the pool area, the lit candles and rose petals that were thrown around "I know that since I met you, I have changed for the better. You are the most important person to me maya and I want to do everything with you, go everywhere with you, or-or I don't know just as long as I'm with you. So will you be my girlfriend?" I ask, slightly breathless

She smiles greatly, wrapping her arms around my neck, nodding before pulling me into another kiss "why in the water?" She asked once she let go of me "I wanted to recreate that time when we were away and I told you you were beautiful but then Riley came out so I didn't get to kiss you" I inform her, a small smile on my face

"You're so beautiful, Maya" I add, repeating my words from a few months ago "and now I'm your girlfriend" she smirked, kissing me softly
