Evelyn's POV

I have only waited five minutes but it felt like ages before Hayden arrived

Please take me to your place, I begged, while I sobbed into his shirt, "I don't wanna be alone tonight"

"Shh, I'm here now"

Hayden said while he put his arms around me without asking a single question,

"Let's take you home, princess" he motioned towards his car and sighed for me to get inside. The drive home was calm, it was like we were having a conversation through telepathy, with the exchange of glances here and there.

Will you be comfortable in that clothing or you would like to change? Hayden asked as he handed me one of his shirt and a short that looked too big for my figure

"Thank you," I said avoiding his eyes

Good night Evelyn, if you need anything, my room is directly opposite this he said and turned to leave when I grabbed his hands

Can you keep my company tonight?I mean till I sleep off, of course, you can leave right after and if it's too much trouble, I... I blabbered, feeling awkward

Shhh, it's okay. I will stay with you if that is what would make you feel better, he stated.

I could have sworn Hayden didn't have this sweet side to him, My subconscious teased

But look at you, he is playing the knight in shining armor while you play the damsel in distress

Not today, Idiot, I shut my subconscious out

Hayden slowly got into the Duvet with me and switched the light off

The memories of today came flooding back

"I have been watching you from afar, tell that son of a bitch to leave what's mine!" Mark's word echoed through my mind

How did he find out about me?

I made sure to change all the details that could lead them to me

I didn't know when I snuggled close to Hayden, seeking comfort in his arms.

I'm sorry for disturbing your sleep, I whispered

I just needed to be held tonight and forget all about my nightmare, I stated more to the night than Hayden because I'm not even sure he was awake

Hayden adjusted his position so that my head was resting directly on his chest, making sure I knew he wasn't asleep

"I wish I could make you forget, Evelyn, whatever it is that is keeping you awake," he whispered

"You can, " I said in a low voice

How? He said, grabbing my face in his hands so that my eyes were meeting his

"Kiss me" I whispered

And that was the only permission he needed before our emotions took over our sanity...
