Evelyn's POV

I recognized his voice Immediately I heard it, but I wasn't prepared to listen to him call himself my boss

Does that mean he is hiring me?

Could this be his way of carrying his revenge out on me? Hiring me and making my life hell?

I have heard a thousand stories about Cruel bosses, and I am not about to put myself through that.

I rolled my eyes, knowing he couldn't see me

I thought regular hours for staff is 8 am -5 pm

He cut me short before I could argue any further

Is this guy for real?

He wants me to resume an hour earlier than usual?

And why is he calling me Miss Williams now all of a sudden, The last time I checked he called Me Evelyn

So now we are playing the Professional thing, No problem, I know how to play that game too, I said with determination

I will set my alarm to 5 am, 2hours should be enough to get ready for work and not get there late

Now I have to wake up one and a half earlier than my usual time

The sound of my alarm buzzing woke me up, and I almost threw my phone across the room in annoyance

I snoozed the alarm and went back to sleep

Please just five minutes

I need to Sleep a little to feel well-rested

I woke up at Exactly 5:30; I slept off, Ignoring the alarm

I got up in a panic; Now I am 30 minutes short in preparation

I ran to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, and took my bath in a hurry

I put on a black gown and a Blazer that I had picked out since Yesterday, I put my hair up in a ponytail and applied a minimal powder to my face and a lip gloss, I barely wear any makeup and I preferred my face bear but being a professional environment I have to look professional too.

I wore the only stiletto heels I have left that is still in good shape; I hope this too, doesn't spoil anytime soon because God knows I won't be able to afford it unless I get maybe an advance on my salary

I placed my hands on my waist, Looking left to right, It is almost 15minutes now that I have been waiting for a Taxi with no hope of any, I shifted my weight on my leg, I can't believe I'm going to run late on my first day at work after waking up early to beat that.

Damn!

Had it been I have a car now; This wouldn't have been a problem

Car? Don't even think about it, My subconscious mocked, You wouldn't be able to buy it anytime soon until you pay up all your debt

As I begin to complain to myself, I saw a cab coming towards me, and I jumped in front of it, Waving endlessly for it to notice me and He did, He stopped at a very close distance between hitting me.

Get in now, Miss, before you get hit!

I jumped inside the car

Please, Mr, Take me to Delarios International, I said almost out of breath, I checked my time, and It was 6:35 am, I panicked, I have 25minutes left to get there, the distance is not much if only the taxi man could hurry

The man shook his head and continued driving; I can't drive above the Normal speed rate "Maam."

I nod my head in agreement

I don't want to be late on my first day at work

My lateness cost me my last one

I rushed into the building like a madwoman, Not bothering to say Hi to anybody, I pushed the Elevator button and Entered
