Sunna's POV.

By taking in a deep and calm breath, I relaxed my mind and focused on my mate. Mentally, I reached out to him and tried to find his mind. Once I finally found it, which wasn't too hard, I could feel how distant he was. When I tried to enter his mind, I knew immediately that he was still unconscious. It didn't phase me too much, I knew either way I was going in because I need to try.

After taking a deep breath, I pushed myself into his mind and I quickly realized what Honey had meant by the risk of getting lost in his mind. His thoughts, ideas, and memories swarmed around me and I started to become dizzy from the tornado that surrounded me. Focus! Everything continued to swirl around me in all directions as I went deeper and deeper into his mind. I needed to find the core of his soul to find his senses.

Again I started to feel dizzy and lost and I almost fell into the mess, but I stopped myself last minute. Things started to ram into me, pushing me back, but I continued forward and tried to dodge the obstacles. Finally I could feel myself getting closer to something bigger and more important. There was no way for me to see, but I could feel everything just the same.

I mentally reached out and touched it. The realization hit as a powerful force hit me. It's his soul and everything to hit me at once as I tried to withstand it. Suddenly it pulled in and held me there, I didn't understand what was happening and before I knew it, I was pulled into his soul.

However, once in his mind, I was able to find everything I needed. I started to use his senses to try and find out where he was. The only problem was how limited I was. His eyes wouldn't open, site would have been the easiest sense to use. Then by using his nose, I was able to smell blood, which scared me, and wolfsbane, which made me wonder why because wolfsbane doesn't affect wolves. He could be in the cells that had the wolfsbane covering the bars. Yet the strongest scent was a mixture of poppy flowers and honey. The scent was so strong that I could barely smell the other ones. Why was it so strong? His hearing wasn't much use because nothing was audible except for Tarkik's heavy breathing. His touch and feeling only told me that he was laying on a cold floor and that he had a few minor injuries that were healing rapidly at the moment.

I tried to find any else that could help me, however as I searched around I found something rather startling. His nightmares. I could see them, I could see all of them, and it scared me so deep I froze. I froze and lost my grip on his soul. With barely any time to react, a force tossed me around like a rag doll. It mentally hurt like someone was pounding on my brain.

Then I felt something even worse, I felt myself start to lose connection with my own body. It was the most odd feeling. It felt somewhat like drowning in freeze water. All of my warmth, that I didn't realize was there until it was being taken away, was stolen from me and my breath came short without any air to breathe in. And all at the same time I felt a part of myself being ripped away from me as if I was holding on to something and was being pulled away. Oh no. This is what Honey had been talking about. No, I can't let this happen. My pack needs me. Tarkik needs me! I will not let this happen.

I used all of my willpower to hold on to myself and keep me pieced together. Then I raced to escape Tarkik's soul and mind. I started to realize it was his soul's way of keeping intruders out by pushing down whatever is trying to get into him to emptiness. That's where it was trying to put me. In that emptiness I couldn't get out unless I had help.

Suddenly, I was back in my own mind and I physically opened my eyes and jumped up from the ground. "Sunna!" A voice erupted from behind me. I turned to see Blade with a grin and her tail wagging furiously. I tilted my head. "You were out for a good amount of time. We thought you got lost and could not get out. You even stopped breathing a little while ago."
