Siqiniq's POV.

It shocked me a little bit that Sky did not hesitate to give me full control as we shifted. I flexed my paws and shook out my coat. I love the feeling of my wolf form. I had two things on my mind at the moment. Fix things with Sky and find my mate.

I know Sky needed a few days to think, so that she would be able to express her emotions in the way she meant. Plus there was a lesson she needed to learn. By ignoring her I gave her both things. It might sound hypercritical, but I definitely was not planning on ignoring her for the rest of my life. She just needed time to learn and understand.

Sky, I could feel her excitement, Though you are right about me not forgiving you yet, there will be a day I will. I know you let your emotions get the best of you, but we both know that you took them out on me for the worst possible reasons. You took me as your scapegoat and you hurt me terribly. However, I know you can finally see everything in true light. I knew you needed to learn and understand exactly what you did, for that I knew you needed time. Time that I gave you. Sky, we will get through this and I don't want any other human.

She was utterly speechless. I-I don't know what to say. I want to thank you a million times and say sorry a million times.

Sky, I need no such thing. I told her calmly. Do you know why I brought you here?

She hesitated. No, I have no idea.

Look around and tell me what you notice.

I allowed her to control our head and eyes to look around. I easily felt her confused and I noticed that she tried nothing to hide anything that she was thinking. Well, we're in the wolf pack's territory.

I gave her a second more. Can you feel it? The bond?

She paused and, suddenly, I felt realization hit her. Our mate is around here! I laughed at her excitement. Wait, why would he be in wolf territory? For that I had no answer, I only followed the pull of the bond. I wished to call out to our mate, but I cannot speak through the bond until we seal the bond. That thought made me excited. However, I did know that he could, on some level, feel what Sky and I were feeling and if I could just direct that all my emotion was wanting to be with him. Maybe he will realize that I am trying to find him.

Suddenly, I was tackled and pushed to the ground. "A werewolf? What makes them think they can come on our territory?" The wolf that tackled me barked at another wolf. I couldn't understand what exactly they were saying, but I could see their aggression towards me from their body language.

"Not sure, but that one is pretty dumb for trying." The other wolf replied. "What should we do with her?"

My nose twitched as I smelled something amazing. It smelled like coffee beans and prairie flowers. A weird combination, but somehow it worked. My instincts fluttered and I knew what that meant.

A deep growl emerged from behind me. I twisted my head to see who it came from. It sounded familiar in some way. My eyes made contact with golden ones. I know those golden eyes. Mate! I screamed to Sky. He had a pitch black coat and he was massive. Wow.

He's a wolf? I had even noticed that yet. Why are we paired to a wolf? No wolf would want a werewolf. Right? Wait, is he going to reject us and then kill us?

I noticed Sky's panic immediately. Sky! It is going to be fine. I do not think he will reject us. I hope he does not... I was starting to also panic. What if she is right? Why would a wolf ever consider staying mated to a werewolf?
