Cait's POV
School was boring as usual. I tried to minimize contact with anyone because I wasn't in the mood to chit chat. Talking to Gonzalez really gave me a shakedown and made me realize this was a "do it or die" situation.

This is how I was for the past week, gloomy, scared and everyone noticed, but I tried to hide it, sometimes. After school, I would go to Barry's house and work on math for an hour, from 4-5pm. Dylan was there until Thursday when I heard from Barry that he had finally gotten an apartment somewhere. Then another week came, another Monday and another day.

It was my third week of school there and it was now Tuesday. So after school, I headed straight home and started to think. After a while, I had made my decision and it was time to put it into action. So I made a call, "Do you want to go out for a drink or something?"

"Why not," he replied and gave him details on where to meet up. I made another call to cancel other plans that afternoon to get ready. At seven we met up in front of a restaurant. I wanted to get to know him better before going all in and taking it further with him.

"Hey, it's nice seeing you again," I exclaimed giving him kiss on the cheek.

"It's nice talking to you without my brother trying to punch my face," he teased and we started walking inside. We got a table for two and we were seated quickly. "So why the certain need to ask me out?"

"Dylan, you got me all wrong, no 'need' at all, just having fun and exploring my options. That's all."

"And I was one of your options? I'm sure there was someone better out there than me," he declared.

"I guess I knew that if I went out with you it would drive Barry crazy," I teased trying to convince him of that.

"Right," he says and looks at the menu as do I. As soon as the waiter got to our table we ordered. "So I got to get things straight, how old are you? because I assume you know I am older and I assume your underage."

"I am seventeen almost turning 18 in the summer. How old are you?"

"I'm 21," he smirks.

"So I guess we're fine, we can date after my birthday then," I teased.

"Yeah, we can, or now. If you don't mind. So this is a date then?"

"What else would it be? I mean that's the point right? Asking to hang with just you at a restaurant."

"I guess you do have a point," he smiles. "My brother won't be too happy about this."

"Good thing we won't tell him," I say and agrees. After our food arrived we talked for an hour and to think I was going to resent this night, I actually enjoyed it. Dylan wasn't so bad. Or both brothers were good at using their charm to seduce girls. We walked out of the restaurant together and he walked me to my car. I was standing in front of my door and we were facing each other.

"I don't know what it is about you, but it seems to drive me crazy," he starts leaning in closer until we were a few inches apart. He leans in for a kiss but I turn my face to the side.

"I think it's too early for that. Don't you think?" He backed away half grinning.

"Right, right. I guess I'll save it for our next date?" he asks for reassurance.

"Yes, there'll be a next one," I smile and get in the car. He walks away smiling and heads to his car as well. Well, that was a date. But now I know who it's going to be. Dylan was the right choice. Even though I just met him and his brother, I still feel like I'm betraying them. And I know this isn't going to end well.

Barry's POV
Caitlin had just canceled math tutoring today, so I was left alone at home for once. No drugs to take out or pick up, so I was totally free tonight. I still wondered why Caitlin had to cancel. I mean it is math and she might have needed a break, but what did she have planned on a Tuesday afternoon. Now that I think of it, I am completely alone and I can start planning on my revenge against Gonzalez. Not only for my parent's death but for kidnapping Caitlin as well. She had nothing to do with it, but now she does and it is my job to protect her so she doesn't end up like my parents.

After thinking for the longest time and writing it down in a notebook, I got small details about the plan. 1) Find someone that works for him and keep an eye on him, 2) We need to find the places he stays at, 3) Find weaknesses. Gonzalez was going to pay and I was going to put him down at once, but not before torturing him, of course.

There was something that always bothered me though. Why did he kill my parents? What was the story? I mean I've looked for dirt on that question, but I never found anything, so I gave up. I assumed that perhaps a deal went down badly or something. However, now that Dylan is here, it wouldn't hurt to ask him. I never got to because he wasn't around, but maybe just maybe he knew something since he spent time with my dad years ago.

It was 6:20pm and I had decided to go to Dylan's apartment, I mean like I said I had nothing better to do and besides it was time to talk some things out with him. His apartment was about 20 minutes away, so I got there at 6:40ish. As I was about to get out of the car, Dylan was coming down the stairs and getting into his car. I wondered where he was going, I mean what did he have to do at this hour.

As he was driving off, I started my engine and followed him. I tried to follow him with a few cars in front of me, so he wouldn't notice, but as soon as he took a turn, the stoplight turned red and I was stuck behind. I tried to see where he went, but he had disappeared.

As soon as the red light turned green, I turned and tried to see if he had entered somewhere around there, but I couldn't find his car. I decided to go home and something told me, he noticed I was following him. Which meant he was hiding something from me.
