"Rebecca!" Annette scolded "I happen to like my son-in-law very much and I'd appreciate it if you didn't kill him" she said
"He would appreciate it too" Colby said with a nod and his wife glared at him
"Plus, if you are having twins again and I'm taking care of the ones you already have, who is supposed to help you if he's no longer around?" She questioned
"Yes!" Colby exclaimed as he pointed at Annette "listen to your mother" he said
"You're not going to have twins again Rebecca" Annette shook her head
"You don't know that, you are the one who told me I'd never have them in the first place and you were dead wrong on that one"
"It didn't run in the family"
"Well it does now" she exclaimed and took a deep breath
"What is going on with you? You should be happy" she asked and Rebecca shook her head as she folded her arms across her chest
"I'm scared" she said
"Scared of what? You're married and you have an amazing family, you're stable financially, you have the support of everyone.. what is there to be scared about?"
"I don't want any of my kids to feel like they're getting less of me, It was hard enough to split myself between three kids but now four.."
"I'm going to say something that you're not going to like" Annette started
"Don't you usually?" Rebecca questioned and her mother shook her head at her
"That is what happens, you should know by now at your age and after three kids that sex leads to kids.. if you really didn't want anymore children you would have taken precautionary measures to insure it didn't happen again but here you are"
"Mother!" Rebecca exclaimed as she hid her face in her hands "I'm not talking to you about my sex life"
"Especially not with me sitting right here" Colby spoke up
"Oh you two grow up" she shook her head "My grandchildren didn't just pop up out of thin air" she said "You two honestly think I don't know how many times you've had sex in this house?"
"Mom!" Rebecca yelled and Colby hid his face in his hands
"I'm just saying, I'm not stupid and you my dear are not exactly the quietist person in the world" she looked to her daughter
"So awkward" Rebecca shook her head
Arriving home that night, they put the girls to bed after playing with them for close to three hours in the playroom, Colby read a story to Ava While Rebecca read a story to Olivia and they met in the hallway as they shut the doors quietly.
"They're going to end up with each other" Rebecca said and Colby nodded
"Who do you think is going to move tonight?" he asked, it was always random of which little girl would sneak into the others room but most mornings they found them both in the same bed together and when Ella was home all three girls would be put to bed in their separate rooms but in the morning when Colby would look in on them they would all three end up in Ella's bed
"Probably Ava" Rebecca said as they walked into their room
"Awkward dinner huh?" Colby said as his wife sat on the bed
"You can say that again" she nodded
"If any of our kids ever have sex in this house and you know about it, I don't ever want to hear about it"
"What are you just going to ignore it their whole lives?"
"That's the plan" he nodded
"Even when they get married?" she asked
"Fortunately for me that's never going to happen so I don't have to worry about it" he smiled
"I can't believe she heard us" she said shaking her head "We were quiet every time" she said and he just stared at her "what?" she asked and he shook his head
"Seriously? WE were not quiet, I was quiet"
"We were separated from each other four a month and a half and the European tour stops over here while we are visiting and heaven forbid I actually get to see my husband" she threw her arms in the air
"Let's just agree to not get caught again"
"Why would we be having sex at my mom's house now anyway? we have like 5,000 rooms in this house"
"You never know what's going to happen" he shrugged and she rolled her eyes
