January 30th.. It was Rebecca's 33rd birthday! After the labor scare, Rebecca was placed on light bed rest, meaning she was supposed to stay off her feet as much as possible. She could get up and take her daughter to the few activities she had but she was to sit and watch and then they were to go home, she wasn't supposed to walk around a lot, she wasn't allowed to work out which was probably the worst part for her.

Holly really came in handy during that time because she was having to take over everything Rebecca would normally do. She also had her mother, Annette arrived about a week prior.

The original plan was for Annette to stay in Ireland until Rebecca was closer to delivery but with it being twins they could come at anytime and she wasn't going to miss it this time.

Rebecca was laying in bed and could hear her mother, her daughter and her husband downstairs and she wanted nothing more than to go find out what was going on but the second she put one foot on the ground she knew her husband would be right next to her.

She thought she'd seen him being protective before.. she was wrong.

Extremely overprotective.

"Look at ya" Annette said "You have never baked in your life" she laughed as she grabbed the wooden spoon from her son-in-law and took over his job of stirring the ingredients that Ella was pouring into the bowl

"Your daughter kicks me out of the kitchen" he said

"It shows" she said and Ella laughed

"It's a cake.. it doesn't have to be perfect" he shook his head

"I will hit you with this spoon" Annette said "I used to make this cake for her every year but since you've taken her from me"

"Woah!" he said with a laugh "I didn't take her from you, she came running" he said and Annette hit him with the spoon

An hour later, the cake was baked, cooled and iced and placed on a plate that Ella was now carrying towards her parents bedroom

"If you drop that on the carpet" Colby said

"Stop talking! I'm focusing!" she stated and he shook his head as he watched her walk slowly with her little eyes laser focused on the cake

Colby opened the door to the bedroom as quietly as possible, in case his wife had fallen back to sleep

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA!" Ella screamed

So much for that idea.. he thought

"Thank you baby" Rebecca said as she sat up in the bed and grabbed the cake from her daughter

"I made you a cake" she said

"No" Colby shook his head "I made you a cake" he said and the little girl glared at him

"Actually I made the cake" Annette said from the door and Rebecca smiled at her mother

"I helped decorate it" Ella announced as she climbed up on the bed and Rebecca looked to see the multiple colored sprinkles all over the cake

"It's beautiful" Rebecca said as she kissed her daughter's head

"I made you something" she said grabbing the construction paper card from her father's hand and handing it to her mother

It was pink construction paper that had hearts and balloons drawn all over it and she had drawn two stick figures holding hands on the front

"That's me" she said pointing to the smaller stick figure "and that's you" she said pointing to the bigger one and Rebecca nodded as she opened the card and was met by glitter falling out onto her lap and the little girl laughed

"Ella" Colby groaned "Now there's glitter all over my bed" he said

"It's confetti" The little girl corrected and Rebecca laughed as she shook the card out on her husband's side of the bed

"Rebecca!" He groaned

"You need a little sparkle in your life" she said with a shrug and he rolled his eyes

"I swear to god you two are the same age sometimes" he said looking between the two girls who were laughing and he felt Annette pat his back

"Get used to the glitter and sparkles dear" she said "With three girls, you're gonna have it everywhere" she said with a laugh before walking out of the room

"Your mom hit me with a spoon!" he said

"Did you mess up her baking process?" Rebecca questioned and he just stared at her silently

"Yes" Annette said as she walked down the stairs

"Then you deserve it" Rebecca nodded "Do you know how many times she's hit me with spoons?" she asked

"She's never hit me" Ella spoke up

"She likes you" her parents said in unison
