a storm appeared at midnight, making yoongi jump, quickly waking him up from sleeping.

namjoon was reading, having a small light connected to his book.

he looked over and saw yoongi wide awake now.

"you okay?"

yoongi looked over at him, looking away to clear his throat.

"y-yeah it's just.." he sighed. "i-i don't like thunderstorms."

"oh."

"i-i don't know why i just..i don't like them."

"c'mere."

yoongi knitted his brows. "what?"

"come here, hyung." he lifted an arm up.

yoongi flinched when thunder hit.

he didn't see namjoon flinch, curling his brows.

yoongi went under his arm, feeling namjoon hand be placed down on his shoulder.

"let me tell you about what i'm reading."

"okay..." yoongi mumbled.

"the main character always believed that every time he looked up at the stars, he would think that he's one of them. he always feels like he was lonely but..he wasn't. he just thought—"

another thunder hit, making yoongi finch again.

namjoon held a bit tighter on his shoulder, trying to comfort him.

he softly smiled. "he just thought that the star that's lonely all the time in the night sky is him. he didn't see that one tiny star that is right beside his."

yoongi looked up at namjoon, slightly curling his brows.

he looked at the older. "he wasn't lonely." he whispered, a soft smile across his face.

thunder hit.

yoongi didn't flinch.
