Exposure

This exposure takes my mind
To look at what I actually know,
To going back how it would be like
Without it.

I begin to wonder what's inside,
And if the worst goes out
When I know more,
If I'm ready for it.

Because what if,
What we don't know,
Protects us instead of
Seeing it?

Because it seems when
Temptations are close
Ourselves,
We reveal it.

Does it protect us
When we lie to ourselves
That we are good,
Until the moment hits it?

We bluff and say that
We are right,
And when the time comes,
We flunk it.

It must be hard to know.
It must be hard to know
What we shouldn't.

Just like the fruit,
It was forbidden.

But then we knew...
And then we saw,
What God had protected.

It protected us.
We saw good,
And it was good.

But then we saw,
And then we understood.

Just like that fruit.
It's better not to know it.
