Today I see my childhood,

The skies are as they should,

The sun is light,

No gloom in sight,

In contrast with the wood.

The people drive the roads

It's nine as summer folds

I sit in bed

Poem in head

I know it must be told.

My memory is happy,

I'm blessed with much and many,

It's peaceful life,

With God inside,

And hope was all that I see.

I know I am content

The child who played, no end,

Creative mind,

Summer time,

With diaries of amen.

No worries of tomorrow,

No stress of any sorrow,

Just live and laugh,

God had my back

And life was never hollow.

Today, I see my childhood,

And this I understood,

That time is slow

And I will go

To always somewhere good.
