Knowledge is Power

What do I fear,
That I should hold
Something so dear?
And that's only it,
Greed is fear
Hidden in mist,
Because it's need,
It's want,
It's a list...
Of lack...
And want,
A taunt,
A never-ending hunt.

It's shortage,
Gripping,
Insecurities
That says, all is mine
And not all the cities.

Secrets,
Withholding,
For self
And constant owning,
Of things
When things are falling.

Insecurities.

That's what it is.
Another word for greed,
But in truth, it is.

And they say ignorance is bliss.
Of course there's much to miss,
But this, 'tis good to innocently wish.

Then...
We add prevention,
Of all good intention
And walls defense,
Telling ourselves
That they will know less,
Because knowledge is power,
And greed is a friend.
